I hate to say it, but Sasuke is loosing his significance for me.

Ever since the mask was shattered, and his story was explained, Obito has filled the role that Sasuke was supposed to have(in my eyes).


Which was, being the embodiment of darkness. The opposite of light.


Even though Obito, as Tobi/Madara, had always been the instigator of certain destructive and catastrophic events, he only truly became Naruto's opposite after his identity was revealed.


Having been led astray from the exact same path that Naruto has always followed, and having gone through the most insufferable hardships any man can go through in his life, Obito has proved that he truly deserves to be Naruto's opposite and equal in every way.



I still like Sasuke, but I'm afraid to say that even someone like him has been sidelined by Obito's awesomeness.

You're seriously saying that a Jinchuuriki of half a Bijuu is rivalling the Jinchuuriki of the Juubi? XD

Naruto and Sasuke are eternal rivals, they keep each other on their toes and have been the reason for each other getting so strong. Someone who doesn't even come into the entire story this late cannot be considered a rival.

It's like saying that Kakashi is dumping Gai as a rival and deciding to make Hashirama his rival after almost 20 years. :|

Obito's awesomeness? For God's sake.

Don't you see? It was all Obito from the every beginning, the Kyuubi attack, Akatsuki's formation, the manipulation and deception of S-Rank criminals and powerful adversaries(including Uchiha Madara) performed with excellence!


Obito, is the most bad ass character in this entire story, alongside Naruto.


These two, they make things happen. Their convictions are unmatched. They never give up.



Obito may be cruel, he may be evil now. But the greatest thing about him is that his soul, his mind, everything that makes him who he is, is driven by his love.

Love is Obito's motivation, just like Naruto. That is what makes him highly complex and amazing as a character.



Please don't misunderstand. The memory of Rin only motivates him and keeps his mind intact even when it's being torn apart by a God, but it doesn't dictate his actions.


Obito does it all because according to him, there is no meaning in living in a world that offers only despair and suffering. For a system that creates only liars and monsters, eradication is a must!
