That moment when you realize 699 and chapter 700 are about 20 years apart if not more.

They actually aren't. It is actually under 20 years because that would make the Next Gen kids older than they are because The Last was 2 years later so we know everyone started hooking up during the blank period and hooked up quick enough to have children. I would say at the most it is 15 years later into the future. It does seem like a huge timeskip but the kids are too young for it to be 20 years apart.

The revolution was a weird thing. Naruto didn't exactly present any arguments to him and definitely didn't convince Sasuke to stop what he was doing. It's like Sasuke knew all along that his plan was not good, he just wanted some time to think about it.

My interpretation was that he wanted to see if Naruto really would let them both die and if he would actually forgive him in action and not just in words. Of course, ANY of this in the Manga would have been great Kishi, as this part of Sasuke at the end is a total enigma of either decent writing or awful pot.

I think the fact that we are still here discussing it 24/7, months later, and still not arriving at any definitive conclusion, shows that it was much more than decent writing

- Sasuke's dynamic with Orochimaru was never sentimental, he was just using him to achieve his goals from start to finish.

- I agree with you on Taka, they suddenly disappeared from his life, or did they? This Gaiden might bring them back.

- He never had clear disdain for Sakura. Before his change he was cutting his bonds with everyone, he was only pushing her away very often because she tried to help him (or confront him) very often. But he was actually grateful, judging from his words before his first departure*, he was just too focused on his goals. *This was then further re-emphasized in his second departure in 699.

- Not sure what that final point implies. Naruto and Sasuke's "bond" is as it should be, they are helping each other maintain peace.

This. If Sasuke's bond with Naruto wasn't true he would have never called for him to help.

I kind of see what your saying but I think that sasuke has always had feelings for sakura deep down and him and narutos relationship hasn't changed much they are probably very close it's just they have other things going on right now and then there is orochimaru he and sasuke are still somewhat connected which is what the boruto movie and manga miniseries is about in a way and he still seems to be himself just more mellowed out almost like itachi or kakashi sort of just calm. The only thing I have a problem with is how he and kakashi were handled it could've gone a lot better like they had a father son type bond in my opinion it seems like they forgot that or something and just left it like nothing ever happened.

He chose that path. And it was wrong. Even though everyone was trying to tell him that nothing good would come from his actions, he still decided to pursue orochimaru and continue on with Taka and all of that lovely stuff. He just had to learn the hard way.
