I hate how people look down on using shadow clones to multiply your training results.

Why do people ridiculously claim that Naruto didn't work hard to gain techniques like fuuton rasensuriken just because he used shadow clones to multiply the results of his training?!

No offense to people who make such a claim, but I say that calling the usage of shadow clones in training a cheap short cut is just plain idiotic. There is a fundamental lesson that people who make this claim just don't get:

There is a difference between working smart and taking a lazy short cut.

By using shadow clones to enhance his training, Naruto simply used what was in his arsenal to its most advantageous potential. That is working intelligently, not lazily. Anyone who calls it lazy or unfair is just speaking nonsense!

Now I know some of the arguments that opponents to my stance will take:

Argument 1: "It is unfair because not everyone has the chakara reservoir that allows Naruto to spam shadow clones."

My response: Tough! Get over it! If you know anything about evolution or natural selection, then you know that in order to survive and progress you simply have to use what is available to you to the best of your ability. Using some shinobi as examples: Kiba and Shino don't have the chakara reservoirs that Naruto has. So what?! That shouldn't stop them from seeking out a mentor to teach them some new jutsus or picking up a freaking book or a scroll to learn something new, or buying some of that chakara nature paper so that they could learn some elemental jutsus.

It is not Naruto's fault that just about every shinobi in the series absolutely has to be a clone of their clan or village and stick only to the shared techniques of their clan or village! Did Naruto tell Ino that she could only learn mind body techniques and absolutely no other offensive techniques? No he did not! Did Naruto tell Shino that he could only use bugs and nothing else?! No he did not! Did Naruto tell Kiba that he was forbidden to learn any space-time techniques or genjutsus or elemental jutsus or anything like that, and that he could only use Inuzuka jutsus? No he did not!

Naruto's not being lazy or unfair by doing the smart thing and using shadow clones to enhance his training. All of these other shinobi are just being plain stupid by only sticking to one line of techniques and nothing else!

There are a number of shinobi who aren't Uzumakis, jinchuurikis, or transmigrants, and who don't have the same chakara reservoir as Naruto that have actually been smart and learned some good things!

Minato for instance invented the rasengan, and learned sage mode, ftg, shadow clone jutsu and summoning jutsu. He even came up with that long name rasen senkou whatever jutsu an learned a number of sealing jutsus. Hiruzen did a smart thing by diversifying and supposedly learning every jutsu in Konoha. Itachi is a master of genjutsu and a number of other jutsus such as fire and water style even without sharingan (so you can't use the logic that he is an Uchiha as an excuse because he doesn't need sharingan for this stuff). The same goes for Shisui and the body flicker. Boruto learned suiton, raiton and fuuton under Konohamaru's tutelage (and the Boruto movie showed that his chakara reserve right now is not nearly as large as Naruto's). Kakashi invented chidori and had shadow clone jutsu, earth style and other things before even getting the sharingan. The list goes on and on!

None of the people above have chakara reservoirs like Naruto. Therefore it is clear that it is possible to become strong without having the chakara reservoir that Naruto has. In other words, claiming that Naruto is being lazy or unfair by using shadow clones to enhance his training is just a pitiful excuse justifying the stupidity and weakness of some other shinobi like Shino or Kiba who only stick to their clans' jutsus.

By the way, shadow clone jutsu is not a kekkei genkai and chakara reserves can be increased with training, thus rendering the statement that Naruto is being lazy/unfair even more stupid!

Argument 2: The Lee/Guy argument

People act like just because Lee and Guy train 24/7 and are bad with ninjutsu means that Naruto is lazy and doesn't work hard. Listen, Lee and Guy are special cases! The fact that they are bad with ninjutsu doesn't make those who are good with it unfair. It just means that Lee and Guy must work a little harder to use what is available to them.

Conclusion: People need to learn the difference between working smart and being lazy/unfair

I didn't realise people did.

If anything it's a smart use of his existing moveset to get new ones. Seems resourceful to me.

It's because they can't deduce the fact that Naruto was born with a huge chakra supply which is able to sustain such a high number of shadow clones. Or, they simply don't like Naruto, which is a normal occurence here. Nice topic, though.

You should tell that to Flash Uchiha (or Nagi). Anyways, Shadow Clones works like a hyberbolic chamber or Second Origin (Fairy Tail). You can train in a shorter amount of time, but the same amount of effort and work still remains. Naruto using 2000 Clones equals to training for several years without them. It's simply compressing all of the material in one go. But the ride never ends I suppose.

This base is full of haters for pretty much any character.

Trolls like these won't change even if you turned the entire world down on their head. That said, good thread.

Isn't the whole ideal of Naruto is that he's a hard worker?

You know, people who don't like this fact and label it as a handout, they actually, indirectly, criticize Kishimoto for inventing it. Which is hilarious.

There are many reasons why some look down on Naruto's shadow clone training method.

Uchiha weebos, mainly Sasuke weebos, hate that fact that Sasuke is not capable of creating thousands and thousands of clones like Naruto to further improve his overall ninja abilities like Naruto. They think that the shadow clone method of training is a cheat.

If Kishimoto had kept the shadow clone training method relevant as such methos of training once was, Naruto would be extremely powerful, stronger than any other Shinobi, stronger than Sasuke be a tremendous margin. Uchiha weebos shouldn't complain, nor be worried, because Kishimoto has embedded in his mind that Naruto and Sasuke must to be equal to each other. Naruto and Sasuke will forever be equal.

It's not like he's ahead; it's a counterbalance for his lack of conventional intelligence.

I myself for example just dislike it because he's "supposed to be" a hard worker and well... dumb. But he's a complete genius (learning FRS which Minato, a prodigy according to the manga couldn't and so on) and the SC training is a shortcut and smart, not dumb hard work.

Naruto was always not unconventionally smart. Kishi has a couple different ways of saying it...most unexpected shinobi is one example. He can understand how his techs perfectly but gets confused when people explain the inner workings of them. He could honestly have a strange form of dyslexia

Also Kakashi stated that all knowledge goes to the original but same goes with fatigue and pain, which adds to the fact that Multi-Shadow Clone jutsu is forbidden in the NV. It depletes you chakra more and everything that happens to the clone reflects onto you. No, that doesn't mean if it gets stabbed then Naruto does too, but the pain still reflects.

Flash Uchiha just wanted a hot thread and there's nothing wrong with having a different method.

It's not like Shadow Clones are able to increase physical strength if one clone does push-ups.

That's included. He works hard to match those who are naturally gifted and he never gives up.
That fuuton rasengan took hard work, including the sagemode training.

From the way i saw it hard work was a subset of his never give up thing.

In his case simple 'hard work' wouldn't payoff due to circumstance.

Presented with an 'impossible task' he would find a clever workaround.
