So I had basically had a back-from-the-dead theory recently about the new Batman game. I felt it was possible because Comics often bring back characters from the dead for later use in the plot.
My idea was that Hugo Strange, the puppet antagonist for Arkham City, had not actually died in that game but survived and became the Arkham Knight. One reason I thought it was Strange is because he was an established character in the Batman: Arkham series, unlike the other theories of Jason Todd, etc.
I also took a page from the comics, as Hugo Strange's, as depicted in Arkham City, wanted to become Batman himself, and the Arkham Knight obviously has a striking resemblance to the Caped Crusader, maybe Strange's way of fulfilling that fantasy.
Another thing is that currently, Hugo Strange is one of the few enemies of Batman who would have the means of becoming the Arkham Knight. He obivously has the ability to access the weapons, armor, and man power that the Arkham Knight possess as Strange worked for and ran a private corporation. He also seem fit enough to perform many of the physical feats the Arkham Knight has shown in many of the trailers and he needs to, as he is supposed to be Batman's counterpart in terms of strength and physical ability.
The only problems I keep running into when getting ideas is:
1. Rocksteady has already said that the Arkham Knight is an original character.
2. I have almost no idea how Hugo Strange could have survived is death.
My only other theory is that Hush is the Arkham Knight.
So, what theories do you guys have?
