I guess They are skipping Chapter 700

I say this since Mitsuki shows up episode 5 and he definitely was not there at the time of chapter 700 yet. So unless they sneak it into the next episode which is episode 4 (there is no sign of it in the preview) they seem like they are going to skip it. It is crazy though that they seem to be totally skipping the last original chapter of Naruto. Maybe though they will simply change the timeline and find a way to sort of fit it in anyway.

Nope he was not in it. His first appearance is the Gaiden where it was hinted he just recently arrived at the village and they were about to graduate that week. They also looked a good bit older in the Gaiden than chapter 700.

It already looked like that wasn't going to happen when, the kids look older now than in chapter 700, and some of them don't even have the same outfits. This is probably why im having trouble believing the anime is canon.
