Honestly it's sad, this fandom has pulled a lot of bullshit before but this is asinine. Petitions, Shinachiku, Sarada, NaruHinatards, Narusakutards, gloating, bashing etc. All this as a result a damn pairings? All this commotion about who is going to end up with who and why didn't fictional character A end up with fictional character B has destroyed this fandom. It's almost like half of these f**ks only watched Naruto for the pairings.

It's okay to like pairings, it's even okay to love pairings but not more than the plot itself. And not to the point where its almost like Naruto getting pu**y is equivalent to you getting laid.

This f**king forum is proof positive of how destructive th is shit is, at one time topics related to pairing were confined to a sticky but now it's everywhere. Its sad when the pairing threads or anything similar begin to outweigh the threads relating to more relevant things. People b****ing and moaning about dumb s**t and no one seems to care.


Over the past weeks, this forum has convinced me of one thing:

I agree with you. I don't think it's a problem to like or even to love a pairing (I'm a wholeheartedly SS shipper). It just starts to become a problem when a huge part of fandom hasn't maturity enough to deal with the author's choices and starts to disrespect another fans and even the author himself. Tumblr, for example, is the worst place to go to appreciate a pairing that you like. The disrespect there is high, the haters ruin the tags crosstagging everywhere and I have seen some posts that just prove that Naruto shippers on tumblr are the worse fandom ever. They blame Kishimoto and stop liking the entire story just because a damn pairing didn't happen. I ship for fun, I like to write and discuss about it, but I would never stop liking a story that became a part of my life if the pairing that I like hadn't become canon.
