Naruto looks over and sees a boy with his dad, and is sad. He wants Jiraiya to train him personally but Jiraiya says he needs to learn to do things himself because he's a ninja. Naruto probably thinks Boruto needs to learn how to behave himself and find his ninja way without him always being around to appease the daddy's boy because he needs to think on his own and find the answers himself. Naruto is being just like Boruto, getting mad at Jiraiya, throwing things at him, insulting him, because Jiraiya won't give him the attention he wants as we see in the 1st 2 panels.

In part 3 he's supposviely a genin now. So it isn't that big a gap. Probably 1-2 years. If anyone's 8 or less. It's Himawari. Bolt was probably around 11 or so during chap 700

But my grasp of time in Naruto is bad. the war arc was like 3 days apparently..

Except the point of the panel was to show that as a child he never got to spend time with his parents unlike his teammates or the other K11, so Naruto tried to make Jiraiya his father-figure but Jiraiya had to remind him he's too old for that now. Besides, after that panel Jiraiya will help him again(if memory serves correct). Naruto doesn't use clones because he finds it wrong to have a clone of yourself take care of your kid and not the real thing.

The timeskip between 699 and 700 is ten years while the last takes two years after the war arc. So he's 8 give or take.

if Bolt can dress himself, he should be able to make do w/o needing all of Naruto's time and attention. Bolt is just too busy being spiteful and self-centered to realize that.

as true as that is, he's supposed to be a ninja. And the thing he fails to realize is that his dad is the Hokage, the person who is first and foremost the person who is the most responsible for what happens to their village. Naruto can't take time from being that person just so Bolt won't be mad at him. I like the kid and all, but he's being a real brat about it. I'm not sure how old the 4th Raikage was when his old man became Raikage, but i'm sure he realized he had to grow up faster than anybody else around his village.
