I finished DEATH NOTE anime. What the hell was that?

As the title says, What the f was that? It blew my mind. DN end disturbed me.

P.s I loved this anime. There is no doubt that this anime is among one of the best animes.

Light didn't win, but he beat L. I think the point of the anti-climactic ending is that Light had to lose by unfair odds since he initially won by unfair odds. Not to mention, he started getting sloppy and comfortable after L died. Just sayin'.

The way Light behaves towards the end just shows how he's become increasingly hasty and reckless with his actions to achieve his goal, and it takes a fair amount of asspull on SPK's end to bring him down, which kinda makes the ending unsatisfactory

My favorite manga of all time, I on't honestly understand why people say that it gets bad after L died, I mean his death was well written and it had no asspulls whatsoever, not to mention the transition in the anime is to this very day one of the best, there no unnecessarily parts that were not needed in order for the story to end up that way, hell i even think that it gets more exciting after L dies since Light had to deal with 2 people with two different methods unlike L who was always there next to him, and at the end it was mikamki's dumb mistake that ****ed up everything, getting out of his routine and acting independently without going with the orders, not to mention light's tight schedule, the dude literary had no time to use the note at the end, all that added to mello's suicidal act basically choke light.

10/10 manga overall, the ending is bit different in the manga so you might want to check it and there are 2 one shots, so yeah, read them !

Did you see the alternate ending? Light dies over and over again the same way as his victims as punishment for using the DN. Light decides that he wants to convince the ruler of Shinigami in order to gain power, so he can carry on his work. Basically, he's going to be King and ruler if he follows through with his plans.

Light ruined his own plan. Want me to list his mistakes?


He underestimated his team with the whole passing notes thing. He would've been way more careful if L was still around.

He got Ryuk involved. Ryuk's credibility came into question when a fresh set of eyes viewed the case.

He had too many recruits to control all the factors.

He took L's position. Big mistake. It pointed every arrow at him. His team didn't see it at first because they really trusted him and saw him as L's equal.

He should've gone back to being a school kid. Perfect cover. But he got cocky.

He wouldn't have beaten Light if it weren't for Mellow's two gambits. Mellow took courses of action that L and Near never would have. Like kidnapping, for instance. Just sayin'.
