Now I come to this forum everyday and go straight to the discussion section.I have a certain amount of love for this story, mainly because of Naruto's character and Sasuke's story and character aswell, everything else is just fine too. Not once have I ever come under the impression that Kishi was not being fair to one of more of the characters, or if he was powering up someone beyond some kind of a fake limit that everyone seems to recognise, everyone except for me obviously. Now I liked it much better when I had no idea who the writer of this manga was or even if there was a writer at all. I found that out through a forum when someone was flaming Kishi for Jiraiya's death. Yes it was extremely sad when it happened and I was actually heart broken cuz I really enjoyed Jiraiya, he was deeply involved in the story line and was one of the best characters not just in this manga but every manga that has ever been written. But no matter what I never once doubted Kishi's abilities, even on his level, meaning if I was a Managaka, I would not have any right to say anything bad about the way things are coming along, why? Because it is Kishi's story.
The thing you must understand here is that you must be like the grand jury in a court of law. You cannot let your personal feelings be involved in your judgement, in this case, as it is a manga.......there shouldnt be any judgement at all. You have to look at it as Naruto's life story, but instead everyone is a critic nowadays, expressing their dissapointment thread after thread, unhappy with a certain characters "power level" and how "OP" they have become. These new phrases that have been created with frustration or disagreement with the author in mind like "op", "plot no jutsu" "asspull jutsu", and all these forced contradictions, that arent going to have any effect anyway, are laughable to me. You are downsizing your potential as readers when you make these type of claims, it shows how much you disagree with Kishi's way of doing things, I for one do not get why you think that "YOU" should have an opinion on the way the story should be written? It seriously baffles me. And tell me where is the scouter in this manga that determines the power level of characters and decides if they are overpowered?
If Itachi was meant to be one of the strongest then that is the way it happened in the story of Naruto! You can only show your emotions about the manga itself. When you bring the author into this and start doubting his potential as a writer, calling him a fanboy of his own work, that is when it all goes to shit!
So in conclusion, if the manga does seem like it has gone to shit, trust me, it is because of claims like that and people agreeing with them. I am sorry to say but you are missing the point of this manga. I dont judge the author, only the characters within the manga, and I have never doubted Kishi's capacity. I honestly F'ing love Naruto just the way it is!
