His meaning was not that he killed Naruto or send him to Another dimension he meant I will sent you to the position I sent Nandiame Let me explain some point in future he actually fought Naruto but Naruto was either as strong or stronger than him his talks about protecting world and Konoha made Kawaki sick or angry and he used some kind of tech or jutsu to make him destroy his own village by that I meant he somehow got control over Naruto's brain and use him as a slave to destroy Shinobi world.Let me explain it with other words.

By that sentence (from 1st chapter) he meant I will send you to same state as Nandiame.Age of shinobi is over It was kinda weird how the village was Destroyed but only Boruto and Kawaki were fighting it is kind of unsatisfactory as During pein invasion people were still in konoha but here only Those two were shown Maybe Kawaki got control over all the shinobi's and Boruto is the only one that he couldn't control.

That's why Boruto said I am still a shinobi because rest are what Kawaki want them to be.

hmmmm. i find it hard to digest this, though you make some good points worth reasoning upon,however, Naruto the god of the shinobi era, destroying the village he fought so hard to protect just cos he is under some kawaki bs spell, naa that i cant agree. do you know what makes naruto a great shinobi and a god? let me tell, it is his will POWER, no matter how strong a shinobi is,he cant make naruto a puppet cos he will break free eventually. Again should kishi write the story in this manner, then what does he want us to learn?
