I feel they may have foreshadowed something with Obito

This is a bit of a far-fetched theory, but I kinda feel like Obito will kill kakashi and take his sharingan, replacing it with the rinnegan since Madara has his to complete the plan and so that he can unlock the "full potential of his sharingan"....remember how in the manga, madara said this to him that he needs to both to gain mastery of his sharingan power.

the reason why I doubt this, is that is somewhat of a cliche outcome. It's happened already with nagato, sorta sasori? and I'm sure the same will happen for sasuke. At least that's how I see it.

I really doubt it would happen, because if Kishi was going to give Obito his eye back, I doubt he would have given it to kakashi in the first place, because it would make all this nonsense with kakashi and obito meaningless and a waste of time.
