Hmmm what ? His sub plot barely influenced on main manga plot (Naruto's growth \ etc) after pain arc... Even Itachi in two chaptets influenced more on main plot than Sasuke did. I mean third DB... Both Kakashi and Sasuke have same base speed stat.

Without him the previous hokage wouldn't be brought back to life. That was a huge element after the pain arc. Naruto got to meet his father in person, Madara got to meet Hashirama again, the 3rd got to see the state of the world after his death, all the hokage was able to contribute to fighting in the war, and more.

In defeating Obito, he and Naruto had fought side by side, and you can't deny that he contributed greatly in the fight. Then in Madara fight, the Kaguya sealing, and everything else he played a significant role. They may not have succeeded without him. And don't forget the Naruto vs Sasuke fight, the final mark to the manga.

If you're talking about Naruto's character...then that itself is not the main plot. Even if it is, I adisagree. After the Pain arc Sasuke continued to contribute to Naruto's development. He was the main one who motivated Naruto to upgrade himself, hence Naruto gaining bijuu mode. I know he isn't the only reason, but he was a big one.

Also, as Naruto went off into the war, he continued to keep his promise of bringing Sasuke back. That remained one of his biggest goals. Even after Sasuke came back Naruto still continued to have flashbacks of him, and regrets that he didn't become friends with Sasuke when they were little kids. That was one of his biggest regrets at one time during the war.

So by trying to downgrade the Uchiha clan and calling them pawns, is that suppose to diminish the impact the Uchiha clan had on the story? They were just dealt a wild card. They unknowingly followed an altered tablet that they believed were teachings from the sage. Anyone would have been fooled.

The hokage being revived, due to Sasuke's actions and choice, is no different. They had helped determine the outcome of that arc, how is that not "story"? Not only did they do that, but they also had an emotional impact on many characters, from Naruto to Madara-technically all shinobi. And who made that happen? Sasuke. I ask you again. How is that not "story"? Same goes for the Obito fight, the Madara fight, and the Kaguya fight. Sasuke had put used his powers to greatly help the outcome of these fights. He also had an emotional impact on Team 7, as well as other shinobi. How is that not "story"?

I can write an essay about Sasuke's impact on the story. But I think you're smart enough to get it with the examples above.

Now, Sasuke's impact on Naruto. Firstly, Naruto had accepted his jinchuriki status before he got onto BM mode. The BM mode Naruto had gotten, like I said, was due to his desire to beat Sasuke. And like I said, that is not the only reason. I highly doubt Naruto would not be troubled at all thinking that he would be inferior to Sasuke. So of course, to bring Sasuke back, he'd have to think about getting a powerup. Logic.
Read chapters 484-486 and analyze.
