I expected an epic showdown where Itachi has to take on a barrage of Edo S class ninja. Instead, we get a two on one with Sasuke and Itachi ganging up on Kabuto. DSM isn't even Kabuto's specialty, Edo Tensei is.

Man... I really wanted to see Kabuto taken down at his fullest. I expected Itachi to take on 20 plus Edos. But Kishi ruined it. Oro vs Hiruzen was so great because of the Edos. So why didn't he use it here?

It would've been a better send off for itachi if he took on a large number of eco, but in a way he took on all the edos at once by breaking edo tensei. PLus the whole point of his comeback was to give sasuke closure

Amaterasu solos manda:| how else was kabuto restricted? Cus he tried to kill both of them. He was cpming at itachi with an killing intent. And kabuto came after sasuke.

any more edos and itachi would be back inside a coffin as kabuto's puppet and sasuke would be sitting inside a test tube
