[Discussion] I don't want to die... but I don't want to live forever.

If I was given the choice of living forever or dying (normally, in human years), I would not be able to do so.

I do not want to die as I am afraid of not existing, but also do not want to live forever as it would render everything meaningless...

Actully... death renders our existence useless too. Wheather I live forever or die does not matter because it seems that either option makes it all seem useless (our lives).

Eternity would get boring and pointless... but with death it's not existing.

I it wierd that I can not choose either option?


What would you choose?

I want to die, but wake up every 200 years to see how things are chaning until the end of time or eternity.

I mean I love life, it's been work but I'm exactly where I want to be right now. I consider myself happy and still a lot of things about people and the world don't interest me and annoy me. Dealing with people's nonsense for eternity doesn't sound fun.

Plus eventually you'll end up in an apocalypse. Not to mention losing all the people that you've created deep relationships with over and over wouldn't be fun. Takes time to build bonds.

To me one of the upsetting things is that I will probably never get to travel other galaxies and experience other habitats and see alien life forms.


It really is a shame also that I won't be here if/when some of my universe questions get answered
