Why FMA brotherhood and hunterxhunter(2011) have better animation than the POPULAR naruto it doesn't make sense at all i was just watching FMA BROTHERHOOD the animation was amazing talking about hiroyoki yamashita the animators of hunterxhunter and FMA are way better than him IMO ,facepalm studio pierrot....

Budgets: Shorter animes have better animation because of less episodes - and popular animes don't worry about animation as much because they know people will watch it anyways

At least, Pierrot does a high quality animation for Naruto when it comes to important episodes.

The animation isn't terrible, I don't get why some people overreact like that. It's not spectacular but most of the time it's decent and and every once in a while it's nice.

And like said above, Naruto is a long running series so they work with different animation teams. Less experienced ones get to do most of the regular episodes, thus gaining experience. Better and more experienced animators like Yamashita do more important episodes like e.g. episode 322 or the one with Obito vs the bloody mist shinobi.

Yeah except Hunter x Hunter 2011 isn't a short anime based on a manga that has an ending in sight.

It takes more money ,This may sound silly ,but Sometimes in naruto they are biased towards characters .(some characters drawn in great quality and other drawn in shitty quality)
Sometimes the fillers have better quality episodes than the canon .
