Someone is going to have to explain this.

How could you say you don't enjoy Naruto, then claim you're too far in to stop reading it? It doesn't make any sense. Why torture yourself each week by seeing something that disappoints you? It's retarded af

Simple.

You're not excited by it as you once were and are now reading it to see how it ends.

At this point, it's kind of hard to be interested. Just watching the chapters go by......

Hopefully it'll redeem itself, or they've put so much time in they can't stop no matter what. I'm part of the latter.

I'm still interested but not nearly as much as I used to be. It's been like this for the last couple of months now.

I understand the part about being excited, but why read it to see how it ends?

I tried reading One Piece before, didn't like it, and stopped. I haven't even looked back.

Because if you stop, it's like you got all that disappointment for nothing. By waiting and keeping on reading, there's a chance the manga will do something that will make you like it again, or sticking to the end will give you closure.

How much time did you put into One Piece? Some people have put in over a few years reading and watching Naruto and liked it then. You're more willing to stop doing something if you never really liked it and didn't put much time in it.

Also, I think the manga will get better again eventually so I'm also interested in that aspect as well.

I know. People are just stupid. I tried getting into American Horror Story and watched it for like 2 years, but it was just so dumb that I stopped completely and will not be watching this third coming up season.

Same with The Walking Dead. Got all the way up to Season 3 and stopped at the mid-season finale. I don't care for how it ends.

I became hooked on Naruto in part 1. I've followed it since the beginning, I even remember watching every episode back when it was aired on prime time Tsunami. I still love Naruto, its a part of who I am at this point. But theres no getting around the simple fact that the story has been going down hill. Theres nothing wrong with that exactly, I would imagine as a writer that you'd start to lose your vision for the series after drawing it for over a decade.

But the excitement for whats to come next in the story has been diminished in me. I still love the material, because like I said, its part of who I am. But its for that reason, that I've devoted so much time and dedication to the story that I feel obligated to see it through to the end. Its not like I wake up every Wednesday and have to force myself to read the new chapter while hitting my head against a brick wall. I enjoy waiting for new chapters and I enjoy reading them. But my excitement for the new content just isn't the same as it was when the manga was, say, back in the Pain arc. Back before I was caught up in the manga I remember sitting down to read ahead of the anime and getting to the pain arc. Without even thinking about it I breezed through the rest of the manga in less than a day right up until the most recent chapter. I just can't see myself doing that with the new chapters if I had the chance. The most I can do now are a handful of chapters before I have to take a break because it just doesn't captivate my full excitement anymore.

Did you read One Piece form the beginning? Were you as invested in it as you were with Naruto?

If the answer is yes, then so be it.

But, you might as well see it out. People feel that the expectations they have for it have fallen really short and are slowly giving up on it. They won't drop it, but they're not as invested as they once were.

Couple of days, tops. Imo I think the body proportions are weird so f*ck it.

Yeah, I started from the beginning.

Most people probably read to see their favorite character ( then find her to be no where in the chapter and then send kishi disturbing drawings and letters of him being castrated) and continue reading for the fun of it, and to have something to talk about here

This thread has so much false consensus. Not everyone feels the same as you. Some people still have hope in it, and so, they continue to watch. If you can't understand it, then you can't understand it, it's pointless for us to try and justify it for you.

Also OP, your example with you trying OP(ha) doesn't apply here. That's you trying a series and not having an interest in it grow. This here is watching a series, having a large interest, but that interest dying down and hoping your interest can come back.

Honestly, I'm more excited about Naruto that ever. The War arc and Ten-Tails revival arc were my favorites by far. KCM Naruto, DSM Kabuto, Edo Deidara (even though he was trolled), Sai blitzing Deidara/Sasori, BM Naruto, Team 7 reunites, Edo Hokage, Suigetsu calling Karin fodder, CM Susano'o, BM Susano'o.

These arcs are amazing.
