True. Same with videogames. If we have to invest like 10 hours into something before it might start to be impressive or enjoyable, then it simply isn't good and not worth the effort. Then it's better to move on to something else that is enjoyable since the start.

Lol and where is the logic? If you start a manga with a amazing start and in the end will become a trash is not different? People will say:
OMG this anime really suck, I regret that I start to watch it

The "logic" is simple. You enjoyed what you watched/read before it turned out bad at a certain point. Happened to me with the Naruto manga and anime. The moment it became bad and killed my interest, I was able to leave it and spend my time otherwise.

Sure, the bad stuff still affects the overall view on the series, but that doesn't mean we have to choose between "like it entirely" and "dislike it entirely".

Yeah but if you think so is just like:

No, there is a simple difference.
In your scenario, a person would have to struggle with the crap before the good stuff comes. While in my scenario, one enjoys the good beginning and can leave when the bad stuff comes. No waste of time with struggling.

Nope.
It's the same, anime has just a bad animation that is all. :)

Yeah alot of supposed good series have insane amount of chapters deterring people to catch up and there are also the series with constant hiatus

OT I use to prematurely judge series either at first glance it looked unappealing and usually think hype is undeserved which I disagree with now. Some series also need time to properly build up and people bandwagon after wards.

mmm, it really depends

HxH hooked me from the first episode. while Gon had no kind of style whatsoever, his personality was so upbeat and he was brave for a kid. made me interested, though most shounen MC's are like that

on the other hand if i have to "wait for it to get good" then wtf am i doing? ive seen great anime that can get a lot of points across creatively and conclude the story in 25 episodes. it takes a lot of those 700+ manga too long to get the foundation of the story laid down. should take 3-4 episodes top imo

Sometimes people just don't like the premise of the story or art style etc. It doesn't matter how god or bad it is if it doesn't have what they are looking for personally.

A good story knows when to end. if you broke 500, chapters/episodes youre doing something wrong imho. The only manga that i've read that breaks these barriers are bleach, naruto, and hajime no ippo, and i cant with good conscious recommend any of the 3 to a new viewer.

Hajime(anime not manga) is the only exception, since the anime isn't serialized like its manga counterpart or the other two anime series. Instead i takes a season based approach, cutting filler from the plot, and keeping animation quality above average.

Well from a business view they would love to milk popular series for all its worth and as a reader it's satisfying getting long running series that you grow with. If most popular series were short running people wouldn't develope the appreciation for them as they do.

At least Mangas unlike comics usually have a defined end goal for a series.

Hunter X Hunter is the best that you can get (I am mean anime series from 2011), yes Fairy Tail is a garbage but One Piece is alot better.
The only reason for why people hate it is because the "art" but the story-line is amazing, new stuff always, not plot holes but yeah very poor at the character development.
Claymore? Yeah don't ask about it.
Couldn't get into HxH much Idk why. That's why i started back reading OP by far better than fairy tail. Only thing is the drawings are eh.

Yeah but when it's serialized it feels more like a soap opera than anything. With no end in sight. I like the season based approach, Clear beginning/ Clear ending and a cooldown period to truly enjoy/critique when just happened. Opposed to Cliffhanger itis or bad pacing.

True at bold.I always disliked the notion of reading the same story over and over again so blatantly when it comes to DC and MARVEL superheroes. Strangely enough i like fanfiction.... maybe I'm too harsh and i should give it a try.
