I Don't see the point in this War??

For a writer you haven't really looked in depth at this at all, even I have picked up on this, the whole direction the Naruto series is going for is "ending that cycle of hatred" same goes for this war, it is about Naruto trying to take on all the hatred, the majority of the Edo's that have been sealed have been shown to have a change of heart, Sasori did, Itachi was proved to be a nice guy, even Nagato had a joke or two. Somebody even said after the pain arc (forgot who it was) if people keep killing the hatred will continue, so if everybody starts dying now, then the series kind of contradicts itself

Yeah, because I was only asking you to do some research, I think the problem with some people is, they are so used to 'lol' or a Smilie after a sentence or Discussion that when I do not put any emotions/lol they think I'm in some angry kind of mood, which I'm clearly not, though its good you understand.

I agree that the stakes don't seem high enough and so many characters have been introduced and reduced to the role of side character that it seems unlikely and ridiculous that 'the good guys' are doing such a good job with little consequences.

Look at the Pain arc, I think the reason people liked that arc so much is because the stakes got so unbelievably high in such a short amount of time. Pain brought the threat to the seemingly untouchable hidden lead village and people straight up starting dying in battle left right and centre. There were consequences and to be honest it'd be nice to have that similar sense of threat in this arc too with such powerhouses as Madara being shown off.

I know, Im just saying though for a war it doesn't seem much like a war but then again im not writing this thing. But People dying or not dying isn't my main concern lol sorry if you misunderstood but my main concern was the time to shine for the kohona 11 like everyone had the chance to do back in the day.
Honestly i never thought of it as the end of the cycle of hatred, like i knew i would need just never thought of it ending in the sense of this war. Interesting, thanks you gave me something new the think about.

exactly, instead the shows gone all powerhouse dragonball z on us and it's just superpowered tanks fighting slightly more superpowered tanks- the suspense and drama just isn't there.

Only 1/5 of the kages will die smh; I'm a writer and I still can't wrap my head around what the purpose of the war is for "RIN" really, no it has to be deeper then that. You see what I'm saying, everyone had their time to shine. But this war isn't really showing anything even close to that, except for Naruto who is pretty much blitzkrieging everyone in this war. Not to say it 's not Badass but ...... Come on.

The war is, as far as the story goes, for naruto to understand the concept of what a war can bring. Remember what nagato said, Narutos gereration do not have an understanding of what a war brings to people. Pain, suffering, Death, Loss. Everything that naruto sore as his nindo way to stop.... He had yet to experience this sort of anguish. If he is indeed to child of prophecy, He needs to experience this and still maintain his way. The whole is based on Naruto never giving up and hes desire to change the world in the correct method. But for him to do that, he needs to experience war!

Is that fact that they're fighting people that they already fought, they know pretty much everything about them.
Why would someone die in a fight with an opponent that's 100% predictable?
