I don't see the huge appeal behind the Minato/Kushina story

The part about Kushina becoming the Jinchuuriki was pretty interesting and how she moved to Konoha but apart from that I don't see the appeal behind it. Kushina gets kidnapped by presumably cloud Jonin but a 12 looking year old Minato swoops down from the sky and beats like 5 or 6 JONIN may I add and flies to the skies with Kushina in arms (Jesus, you might as well give the guy shining armour and a horse) and as we know Kushina fell in love. Now here's the other part I'm not too good on: How Kushina seemed to fall in love with him pretty instantly. Bear in mind these two had been shown to have no communication before the event whatsoever, Kushina's sudden change in heart in mind, didn't feel right to me. Also how Minato knew the exact moment in which he saw Kushina being taken by the cloud ninja. If he was up in the trees like last time, then that's not adorable, that's what they call premature stalking. (Don't take that joke too seriously)

Anyway I know this won't apply to that many people, but this is just my opinion anyway, I don't see the big appeal behind the pairing.

Kushina could have just fallen for him. It happens.
The stalking part I agree with

By the way nice sig*_*

she was leaving strands of her red hair as a clue, he noticed that and followed it

Because viewers are deep down hungry for romance and Minato-Kushina is the only one Kishi ever bother to developed.

It is too generic too me; esp. the saving part. I would like to see Kushina being able to save her own ass instead of them imitating a famous scene from E.T

He didn't know the exact moment she was kidnapped, he may have sensed it. Also, the part where he was on the tree where that kid's brother bullys her is filler. Read the manga it was better IMO.

You're very single aren't you? Someday you'll understand how feelings work then you'll know how it's very possible for kushina to fall in love with someone she barely had any communication with.

Well it was a good story... I mean she initially sees him as a quiet kid/ weak kid something, but then she is saved by said weak/mild kid and he was the only person to pay enough attention to her to follow her hair trail.

Falling for him may have been a little fas (love at first sight/Knight in shining armor... Have to say pretty accurate)t... Probably would have been a little better had they had more of a relationship before the idea of true love... But hey this is a story after all.

Despite the parts that feel over played, for the most part it was one of those sweet moments... I got a bit of Disney classic nostalgia which is why I liked it. But then the Jinjuriki and desth for their son completes it.

Minato wasnt stalking. The entire village was searching for them(so simply he started looking when the village did)

However he was the only one to notice the trail of red hair.(Minato since he was alone was able to move much quicker than the cloud ninjas with kushina and as such he was able to catch up)

Then you have the element of surprise(ninja A< ninja B, but ninja B> ninja A if a surprise attack)

The cloud ninjas were at the border, so they were not expecting to have anyone show up. They let their guard down, and minato took them out.

If minato had ftg then, it would make perfect sense as to how he took them out. Period though, he was praised as a genius. Sasuke and itachi and oro were all genius' , and they were chuunin-jonin level ninjas at a young age.(then they got further stronger with power ups)

The kushina falling in love with minato thing, was not a big deal. While we dont know what contact they may have had, there was nothing to suggest that kushina hated minato. Also the rescue was just the typical damsel in distress falling in love with their rescuer.

Seeing your classmate track you down and defeat several jonins just to save you, would make you like or love the guy who saved you(especially if hes all calm and cool about it.....just see the girls who love sasuke....calm and cool attracts in nv)

If you dont find the story appealing thats just fine. Different people like different things. The thing i see that most people find appealing, is how minato and kushina died. They find their deaths so sad.

The pairing is likeable, because kushina is nice and sweet, but is also hot tempered, and fiercesome, while minato is calm and cool(usually). Its the opposites attract thing. (also partly why people tend to favor naruhina, is because they are more opposite, while naruto and sakura, are more similar(tempered).

Don't get me wrong I found the sacrifice scene very touching, it was just the buildup before that.

It was okay. Their romance didn't interest me as much as the incident involving Tobi and Kurama. That, I found quite grande, with Minato sweeping across the battlefield to defend his family and his village. Also, Kushina and Minato were the only true couple relationship that was expanded upon. Rin died so Kakashi and Obito were left out, Tsunade's was okay but we didn't learn anything much. We didn't see much from Asuma and Kurunei either.. Their love story was a bit cliche, esp. the saving part and could have involved maybe more conflict and realism? However, this is shounen so something of the sorts was expected.

Well, that's the way Kishi writes romance, and since I'm not a fan of romance at all, I'm glad it wasn't too much emphasized/drawn out. And when you have things like Ino who had a crush on Sasuke for his "coolness" alone when they were little kids and still loves him somehow despite no interaction for a few years, this MinatoxKushina thing shouldn't be surprising.
