Just like i said in the title and before any of you guys think i'm talking crap or whatever i'm actually being serious about this because yeah the title of the show has naruto'sname in it meaning that he's obviously the main character but what if there's a shock twist and what everyone thinks/thought might/is going to happen doesn't happen, what i mean is well for example minato who's naruto's dad believes that naruto is the one who will kill/put a stop to tobi etc and i'm sure everyone in the narutoverse and the fans believe so too because naruto is the main character, the main hero etc but what about choji!.
I'm not trying to be funny but choji is always being underestimated all because he's the FAT guy who loves food and seems to slow his team mates down apparently and i feel that people should remember this: APPEARANCES CAN BE DECEPTIVE AND NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER this is very important because it's not just in naruto but also in real life people are being judged on the way they look etc but if you think about it we should all remember what's on the outside is just a cocoon it's what's on the inside that counts eg. a cocoon is ugly but inside is a beautiful butterfly, anyways choji is made to seem like one of the weak guys who fades into the background while the likes of naruto always defeats the bad guys and saves the day and well i don't think that's fair because look at the things he's achieved.
In part 1 of naruto in the sasuke retrieval arc where the sasuke retrieval team faced off against the sound four choji freed himself and the rest of the team from jirobo's earth dome ball thingy where their chakra was being drained and each of them tried to escape but couldn't and when they all thought that all hope was lost and they're never getting out choji saved everyone by mustering his strength and smashed the dome to pieces by using that tech where he becomes like a ball and you see the look on everyones faces cause they never expected choji the fat guy to save the day.
Another feat of his is when he fought and killed jirobo who was probably the strongest out of the sound four and because he used them pills to give him a boost he over did it and was on the verge of death and COULD have died but he didn't and one that nobody should forget is what he did in the invasion of pain arc where kakashi,choji,chojis dad and a few extras took on both asura path and deva path, both choji and his dad nearly killed both and if it wasn't for choji the leaf wouldn't have known about the deva paths abilities because i think it was choji who worked out that the deva paths gravitational push and pull techiques had a 5 second interval before he could use it again and if you think about it imagine what would have happened if choji never told tsunade about deva paths techs etc, naruto would have probably been killed by pain and the village and everyone in it would be no more, afterall if you think about it the info that katsuyu gave naruto while fighting pain not only saved his life but also what was left of the village so really once pain was defeated not just naruto but also choji should have been named hero of the leaf village but no naruto gets all the credit while what choji did although it was tiny compared to what naruto did he didn't even get a thank you! i mean how difficult is it to say THANK YOU!.
Anyway finally as the title says what if instead of naruto defeating(killing) tobi choji is the one who will deal the finisher,i'm hoping that you guys haven't forgotten about what choji did earlier on in the war, he i guees you could say did a one hit kill on his former sense asuma even though he had assistance but choji played a big part in the ino-shika-cho battle with edo asuma thanks to his boost of strength etc due to finally coming outta his cocoon and spreading his wings as a butterfly oh and i forgot to mention he stomped on and crushed kakuzu whilst in his giant form which probably if kakuzu wasn't edofied choji could have killed him which should go unnoticed especially when you think of how powerful kakuzu was considering he gave shikamaru,ino,choji and even kakashi trouble and if naruto hadn't turned up they'd probably be dead and when you think of it even though kakuzu is now an edo cause he was defeated by naruto oh and finished off by kakashi, for choji to do what he did to not only asuma and kakuzu plus helping to defeat and seal kingaku who had ninetails chakra it goes to show how far chojis come even chojis father was shocked remember he even said " sorry choji's been such a pain to deal with but that's all over.He's now worthy of being the 16th head of the akikmichi.

THIS IS THE BEST PART, I SAY SO BECAUSE IT'S WHEN CHOJI FINALLY GETS NOTICED AS HE SPREADS HIS GIANT BUTTERFLY WINGS:
so their you have it, this is why choji shouldn't be underestimated and as i said i know it sounds silly and it probably is but imagine this short senario:
Naruto and the alliance continue their epic battle with tobi with both the alliance and tobi wearing each other out, naruto and tobi are severley wounded but neither are willing to lose, then tobi gets up and is about to perform a jutsu that could wipe out the alliance but naruto with his mighty will of fire gets back up and vows to stop tobi by finishing him off with an insanely powerful technique but then collapses leaving everyone in shock and panic.
With their last hope of defeating tobi unconcious a brave choji drags himself towards tobi with his fists clenched everyone shouts at choji to stop cause he doesn't stand a chance and just as tobi laughs menacingly at choji daring to finish him choji tells him that it's his turn to be the hero cause he's sick of sitting on the sidelines then tobi tells him that someone as fat and weak as him is nothing for him to worry about which angers choji and in a rage choji shocks everyone by somehow killing tobi which even shocks naruto but then they all cheer and chant chojis name and now finally everyone acknowledges choji as a fully capable shinobi.
