The villains are lacking. Some have had cool abilities. But their personalities and stories are just like whatever. Espada were great, I actually liked those characters. I feel nothing for the Wandenreich so when they are defeated I am just like ok moving on.

I think that is what is making Bleach lacking. There isnt much to do about that now since the war has already started. I hope my interest peak in Bleach again as of right now I read just to read.

Hate to admit it, but I feel about those Quincies the same way. They only exist to fight Soul Reapers until someone strong shows up to kill them. Even though most of them have cool, unique personalities, it doesn't matter in the long run as they fail to leave an impact on the story. Why do they serve Yhwach? Why do they fight for him? How do they feel about this war? Why are they okay with killing Soul Reapers? Do they have anything to gain from this conflict? They are getting so much spotlight, but since none of those questions have been answered, they aren't really that important at all. Elite nobodies who, for an asspull reason, can't be beaten by anyone below captain level. That's all they are.

And check this out, half of them are dead already. Hopefully the remaining half prove to be better and more significant. Haschwalth stands out because he knows what Yhwach's goal is, and there's Uryu who's plotting something and also has a strong connection to Yhwach. Let's see how it all plays out.

Exactly this.

that's just one facet why Bleach is terrible: no character development.

I'd also like to point out the awkardly huge panels that Kubo loves that generally take up more than 60% of a page and has little to no dialog and depicts something lame in an attempt to make that specific scene look "epic".

There is also the problem with the story as a whole: what the hell is going on? why are they fighting? and as you pointed out, for whose benefit is this conflict?? Fight for the sake of fighting?

I can go on and on about how bad Bleach has gotten. I only read it nowadays just to witness its downhill appeal and I always get a laugh now at how ridiculous it is.

Well its not as bad. I went back and read some of it and realized its pretty good. Maybe you should try reading some parts again and see something different.

My interpretation may change slightly should i reread some chapters, but ultimately negligible differences. Perhaps I'm so biased because i've convinced myself Bleach is just so stupid on many fronts. But the fact remains I get chuckles from every new chapter I read.

You are right.
I just hope that other Quincies will get more development.

I like some but not all.

Same with the espada.

Just like the Espada, there are completely pointless Sternritter(The Girls that beat up Kenny) and Important ones (Jugram Haschwald, Uryu). With the espada, there are the Important ones like Grimmjow and Ulquiorra, and the rest are mostly just cannon fodder with cool abilities but no real impact on the story..

Mate, stop posting here if all you're going to do is keep talking sh*t when it isn't wanted. If you want to hate Bleach, sure, hate it. I don't mind. But when you just keep bringing up the topic and talk tons of useless crap in a thread that it isn't related to, people get annoyed. So get lost if all you do is hate and hate endlessly.

OT: I like the Vandenreich. They're cool, but as you said they don't have much to offer for story development.

I understand completely why you dislike bleach however your comments are unwarranted all the thread says is why some do not like the vandinriech I could go into how bad naruto, one piece, toriko, or any other manga I've read is due to certain faults. But no one is perfect. Bleach legitimately has some very good moments and arcs and it does have its problems sure. Who doesn't. But please for everyone in this thread don't post if you don't have anything to say related to the topic at hand.
Reply to thread: vandenriech are really cool but not as cool as the espada nor as bad as I thought they'd be. I at first thought if espada and soul society were to fight I didn't see any clear victor until the ending was spoiled all thanks to youtube.

Maybe it's because there's just so many of them that Kudo didn't feel bothered to make them as interesting to the degree of just 10 espada

What's the point of giving Replaceable-Henchmen character development?

They could have shown Gremmy and As-Nodt's past or whatever.
I hope Kubo lets Bazz-B live a little longer, can't have someone like Shinji kill the guy who could repel Yamamoto's flames.

So the readers could get attached to them and enjoy the story more, instead of clicking through pages waiting for something to happen. Besides, not all of them are fodder, some have been introduced long ago but still showed little, except for a few confrontations with Shinigami.

Hasch: "His Majesty this, His Majesty that. Listen to some exposition. And balance!"
Bazz-B: "Imma f**k you up!"
Askin: "I'm just gonna chill with a cool smile."

Bambi and her girls are my favorite so far. Even "Permanent b**ch Mode" Candice and Kristen Stewart-- I mean, Meninas.

I actually don't really like the espada. I hated their back stories and it made me hate them. And not in the "I hate the Joker kinda way" I mean i disliked them as even being in the manga. They are villains I don't care about at all.

The vadenreich don't have much for development, but I don't want Kubo wasting time with their backstories. I will be more disappointed if I get a backstory on them because it is a waste of an entire weeks of work. The final arc is about pure battle and a backstory will ruin the pacing. i don't care who they were, all that matters is that they are the enemy. I want them destroyed by the main characters, I don't want to feel sympathy for them.
