This is an original story that I plan to post on Naruto Base after I finish Tales of Soraya
It's called, I Did It Out of Love which follows a young boy named Kazami Tumra who attempts to solve the mystery of his father's death. Obviously, it's Drama/ Mystery genre. The prologue is quick because I wanted to just give a idea of what the story will focus on, so here it is:
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. - Lao Tzu
Love is a beautiful illusion. Something that makes you feel like your not sleeping, when you really are. Something that seems like you want it. However, just because you want something doesn't mean it wants you.
I was sitting in my desolate new room. My mother and I just moved to Okinawa Island in Japan from Mongolia after the death of my grandfather.
My grandmother was in her golden ages, so my mother decided that we move closer to her so we can watch over her, but then decided to just move her in with us. My father was on his way to the island as well because he left at a later time.
"Kazami, come get your dinner" My mother said from downstairs.
I placed my book face first on my bed and walked downstairs.
"Oh, I'm not that hungry. But, I'll stay downstairs. Can I turn on the news?" I asked.
"Go ahead" she replied. I grabbed the universal remote because my grandmother misplaced the regular remote, and changed it to channel three. As soon as the channel changed, a voice exploded from my screen.
"Attention all Okinawa citizens!" The reporter began. "We are sad to announce that there was another murder in the center of Kaiho Park"
We sat there in shock. It was only our first day and there were already two murders.
"As we know earlier, the murder of Mr. Iza Huro took place in Akemichi Park. However, the recent murder took place near Bito ES. Similar to the previous murder, it was a male named Kushi Tumra" the reporter continued.
I turned towards my mother with a blank stare, but she couldn't see it. Her face was buried in her palms. I looked towards my grandmother to see her mournfully staring at the carpet.
My body lunged to the ground from being overwhelmed with tears and punched the floor repeatedly while we all sat in despair.
"In addition, it was seen that the murder left behind markings on the two men. Two marking, to be exact. Both have a 'X' across their heart and a heart branded on their abdomen. Okinawa Police and other investigators are looking forward to cracking the case open by next week, until then I am sorry for the families who have lost their loved ones. My condol-" The reporter said, until I shut off the television.
My mother stormed outside in order to light a cigarette, it was her way of dealing with the pain. My grandmother sat in silence as she has always.
"Goodnight grandma" I said, grimly.
"Goodnight? It's only six-thirty" She replied.
"Goodnight" I responded without looking back this time. I felt different. My heart was heavy from losing my father. All I wanted to do was be alone.
