Final Chapter: Caught

I slapped my palms against my lips as she turned around. It was really Kiken. In shock, my arms flung down in shame.
"Oh, hey Kazami" she said, as if nothing was going on.
"Hey!? How could you answer so casually but know what you've done?" I yelled in anger. This was the first time I was ever this angry.
She stood up from cleaning the plate off the ground and began laughing. But it was the same laugh I heard from her mouth when I first met her, it was more a maniacal laugh.
"Kazami, Kazami, Kazami" she said while pacing over to the coffee table, "You've got it all wrong. I am not the killer"
I was somewhat relieved but then realized that I can't believe a word that she says right now. Kiken picked up a picture frame and began walking towards me.
"Look" she said in monotone. She pointed the frame towards my face. "This is who your looking for, Kazami"
I hugged her on impulse. I was relieved to know that she wasn't the murder, but as I was resting my head on her shoulder she began to chuckle.
I backed away from her as skin began to crack off of her face and arms. Faster and faster the skin fell as her hair suddenly bleached itself to a bright white and her real legs broke free of their confinement of her child like legs.
Then a burst of wind flashed from her body forced me into the nearest wall as she completed her transformation.
"Y-you lied" I said in sorrow, "Kiken, you lied to me... Why?"
As her transformation completed, she stopped her witch like laughter.
"Isn't it obvious? I wanted to kill. I felt the urge to kill! The blood trickling down the blade onto your hand! The screams from your victims!" She didn't sound like Kiken anymore, instead her voice was replaced by some old hag. She began gliding towards me.
I stood up and faced her.
"Kazami" she said in a manipulative voice, "Join me."
I shook a little inside.
"W-what!?" I asked.
"You heard me" she responded. "Join me. Don't you love me?"
"I did..."
"And you still can" she finally reached me and placed her hand over my shoulders to have her body meet mine.
"I-I don't know, Kiken"
"Please" she sounded like Kiken again. That's when I hugged her and began crying.
"That's right. You can trust me"
Then there was a piercing noise. The house was so silent that you could hear the blood drip onto the carpet. Then, Kiken dropped to the floor.
"K-Kazami?" She gasped for air, "H-How could you!?".
I straightened my back and held my head up high in the air.
"Because I had to" I responded. Kiken's eyes widened and she began to screech a dreadful noise as her final noise. I stood there until she ran out of air.
I began to pace around the dead Kiken while holding back tears. I knelt down next to her and closed her eyes.
I began searching around the house for matches and wondered around her backyard for wood. After finding them, I lined the entrance to her old home that lead from her body to the backdoor.
Finally, I lit the wood to create a fire until the house eventually caught on fire. That's when the cops came and arrest me on the spot.
As we drove off, I stared at the house.
[Flash Forward]
"Kid" Chief Ozi said, "Why did you do it?"
I remained quiet. Then one of the officers accompanying Ozi whacked my in the face twice with her nightstick knocking out one of my teeth and causing my nose to bleed.
"Tell us now!" Chief Ozi yelled. I turned towards him and look him in the eyes.
"You corrupted cops would never understand why I did it" I began. "The subject is even too complex for you since a 'Kid' solved the mystery any of your officers could".
"What is that suppose to mean?" Ozi asked.
"Simple. I did it out of love"
They looked me in the eye as if I were crazy. Then left the room to call my parents.
