I Did It Out of Love
Chapter 3: Only a Kid
Chapter 3: Only a Kid
forms of caution, caution in love is perhaps most fatal to true happiness. - Bertrand Arthur Russell
I rushed down the street to the police station as fast as I could with all sorts of questions racing through my head. But also all the how much reputation I'd get from providing more scope on the criminal acts.
Once I arrived I crashed through the door which caught the attention of many police officers.
"Kid" Police Officer 1 began, "What do you think you're doing?"
I was out of breath from running but managed to speak.
"I... I have proof of who the killer is!"
They all seemed to be sarcastically shocked, then began laughing.
"No you don't... What makes you think a kid like you can get proof that over 100 police officers couldn't?"
I took a deep breath.
"Convenience" I said with a stern tone. They all seem confused, "By convenience I mean that I stumbled across the killer by accident. You see, I forgot my book bag in Kuroshio Park and came back later at night to get it. There, I noticed a orange haired man and a White haired women meeting for sexual relations in the park" I paused to think of more smart words to say.
Then, I began pacing back and forth like in criminal dramas, "That's when it all happened. The women killed the man... She even carved the traditional marking on the man's body just like in the news!" I took out my phone and showed the picture, "See!"
All the officers gathered around my phone and were puzzled. They all seemed to believe until one police officer stepped out of the shadow.
"Photo-shopped" Police #3 said, "How do we know you ain't bluffing?"
"How do I know your a real police officer?" I asked as a comeback. He walked up to me and began,
"Well... You just ran into a police station so, why would I not be a police? and two, I am the Chief. But, you may address me as Chief Ozi"
"Fine, fine. But, it's not photo-shopped! I swear! Please, you have to do something, she has to be the one who killed my father"
The chief nodded his head.
"I see... We'll look into it" he said.
I sighed.
"Thank you" As I began walking off, they began laughing. From then on out, I knew that I was the one who would have to solve this transient mystery.
I stormed off to the bus station and caught the bus home. As the bus drove by the lake, I said a tall black figure with white hair standing by it. The bus reached a red light and I tried to get a clearer look through the dirty window.
Once I got a clear view the figure turned around. And sudden appeared at the window and blew a kiss at me. The ugly lips of a killer stung me from the outside. I jumped back and screamed but then noticed that it was gone.
"Kid, if your gonna scream you can go do that outside. I prefer it quiet in here while I'm driving!" the bus driver yelled.
"Oh, I'm sorry" I replied. But then I thought, "Stop calling me a kid..."
