I can't see the show ending without Naruto becoming Hokage, or at least being named as Tsunade's successor. I think he'd make a great Hokage, and I think the role is important enough to him that he'd take it very seriously.

just a thought, becoming a hokage doesn't mean to do all the paper works, he can get a secretary/assistant and there is always an adviser for the leaf, the main responsibility of hokage is to maintain the stability of the konoha =) so I think naruto fits the job! as in now ahaha =)

Alright people need to stop looking at the Hokage role from a common sense stand point. Obviously being the strongest doesn't make you the best leader. If it did Cain Velasquez or Jon Jones would be president right now. You just have to look at it from the manga standpoint. Plus the greatest responsibility of the hokage is to protect the village. That's why they don't go out on missions.

In terms of how dealing with THE village they are leading, obviously Gaara can't do anything for him. In terms of dealing with A village in general, how to deal with people and basic stuff, Gaara is able to help. Why not?

I think Naruto will mature so much during this war that he will become Hokage but even if he doesn't then Kakashi can take the helm until he is ready (this is only if Tsunade dies )

The only thing i can see giving naruto problem is the paperworks which he can get a secretary. Naruto has been dealing w/ ppl since the first arc part one e.g the crazy gaara, tsunade, the 4th raikage, neji e.t.c all kinds of people even villians he is the most charismatic character (a.k.a TNJ) not saying gaara can't advice though.

Anyway get over it shadow clones is the answer for paperwork...also with Hashirama's personality revealed he's pretty similar to Naruto so I don't see why you can't see it plus other Kages seem similar to Naruto such as the Raikage he's just as impatient as Naruto yet he's seemed to do alright.

Seriously people you need to stop thinking that a Kage is someone who is the smartest and calmest person in the village, there's more to it.
