This one was inspired by a man who was sent to jail for 27 years for a crime he didn't commit. U_U He went into jail at 20 and came out at 50. And yes I did forget his name.
I didn't do it.
The blood wasn't on my hand
His death was not on my soul
Murder has so much meaning
The murder of another man is a crime against God
I would never do such a thing
With the eyes blaring into my head
In the courtroom with the judge so tall
Asking me questions I don't know how to answer
I can see his family cursing me
Crying and not ready to leave their family member
The member that I didn't even kill
The pressure in the room
Felt like a tornado
Destroying and tearing us apart
27 years...27 years in prison
Those years weren't pretty
Over two decades in jail
I'm out with the fresh air
It felt like a thousand years in that brick hell
But now I'm out
I didn't do it but I served
I served for a crime I didn't do
I'm served my time for something I didn't do
I can breathe
I can take a step with pride
I Can Fight
I didn't do it.
