He just missed it lol. Lol The last time it appeared was when the Jubi was resurrected. But Madara had to take care of some business before initiating the infinite genjutsu...

Since it seems that all of this is transpiring in one night then I would assume that Madara could be waiting for the moon to reach a certain point. Perhaps he needs it to be at its peak to use the trump card? When we saw it during the Juubi's resurrection, it was in about the 8 o'clock position (i.e. rising but not at the peak).
Ummm the Moon's Eye Plan maybe? Just because Obito is the Juubi's Jin at the moment doesn't mean that the Juubi can't be extracted by Madara.
No, Madara originally had the Rinnegan as well so he can do the same. And, no, he does not have Danzo's eyes. They were all used up during his fight with Sasuke.
The problem is *how* to extract it from Obito.

This is an image from chapter 638 showing the moon. Madara was shown with an intent to use his trump card before Obito anticipates his moves but Madara engaged with Hashirama in a battle to stop Obito. SO I don't think Madara has anything related to the moon.

I think Madara's trump card has something to do with Sasuke. Why else would Obito go through all the trouble of recruiting Sasuke and giving him EMS. I also think Oros real reason for attacking Konoha was to prevent the future plans of Madara he sort of hinted to it during the fight between him and Kabuto against Naruto Jiriya and Tsunade when he told she should let him kill Naruto or else everything would be destroyed when the Akatsuki gets a hold of him.
