I'm not saying that Edo Tensie hasn't given some postive outcomes, but lets face it, its doing more harm then good. The shinobi alliance was formed to kill akatsuki and the army of Zetzus, not because of the Edo Tensie, that wasn't discovered till later. Yes a few people got closer, but thousands more won't return home to their families. Where is their closure?

Their deaths are leading to a better world, No? Is it not their jobs to protect the King(children)? According to Asuma.
So basically, You all are saying the world was better before the war. Where people didn't trust one another. There was still hate in the world. Seeing their beloved dead ones on the field helped them grow. Sad, I agree, but the world is able to move forward.
There are those that died, but died for a reason.

it did unite the world and force them to fight as one. im sure itachi would agree since he thinks genocide is justifiable.
