Contrary to what some guys posted today, that he just had the ms because he didn,t have his brothers eyes to transplant into his own. I believe that because he is the original wielder of the sharingan, his eye powers evolved naturally, and when his blood thinned out his descendents needed to obtain the ems through transplantation. More proof of this is that he had the perfect susano, which only ems users have shown so far

So, the first one to awaken EMS without the use of another persons eyes?

He inherited his father's eyes and Genes, which means he had a family member's genes in the get go. He didn't have to steal anybody's eyes because his father's dojutsu he inherited (aka "Genes") was like a DLC Key that unlocked the EMS. Indra just had to go through some stress.

Just my two cents:

Actually, the eMS is just a Mangekyo Sharingan, which revise the side-effects. I guess, Indra killed Ashura, his own brother. After that, he had realised his
dreadful atrocity and sealed his power with a special Fuin-Jutsu. If someone in his own lineage would do the same, he would suffer from heavy pain and sightless.

I guess, Indra had a "special" Mangekyo Sharingan because of his unique chakra and spiritual powers. But still a Mangekyo Sharingan.

ems is hard to believe, maybe indra's MS was a bit special. Meaning the light of indras MS never faded away
