Bane was born in Konohagakure to the Akimichi clan ten years before the Nine-Tails’ attack. He enrolled in the Academy at a young age, and immediately focused on training. Disgusted by the physical status of his clan, Bane took the opportunity at the academy to train his body and tone it, striving to never end up a blob no matter the strength it would gain him. Despite being extremely gifted in the academy, he saw that because of his status as an Akimichi, his achievements were overlooked in favor of the more prestigious clans, such as the Uchiha and Hyuga. This was the spark that would eventually slow grow into a raging flame. This was the first sign of injustice the world had to offer in Bane’s eyes; the first clear example that some were privileged and advantageous over others. Bane grew to resent the status quo established in Konoha, leading to him training harder than ever. As Bane grew, he avoided Akimichi training in order to put on muscle rather than fat. Eventually, his talents were recognized and he was accepted into the ANBU Black Ops, Roots division. Bane was placed into a special category called the League of Shadows, who carried out covert missions to ensure the village’s safety. Convinced the League would lead to a revolution in Konoha, Bane devoted himself to the society as a whole. This, however, changed very soon.
While serving in the ANBU, Bane and company received word that the Uchiha Clan had been murdered by Itachi and he had defected from the village. Bane felt no sympathy for the clan, believing they were the epitome of the status quo problem that Konoha leaked into the world. He regarded Itachi as a hero of sorts, to the discomfort of his comrades. Two years later, while on a mission, Bane performed a mission where he intercepted information that Akatsuki was passing between its members. Tired of the secrets that Konoha was keeping from its own people, Bane read the information, against his orders. He discovered that the scroll that he intercepted was from Itachi and the entire mission was orchastrated so the message would be delivered. Discovering from the report that Itachi slaughtered the clan under the Elders’ orders, Bane became determined to find out the truth. Behind the back of his superiors, he intercepted more information and eventually discovered the truth behind the massacre and the entire situation with the Uchiha. His outlook on the Uchiha and Itachi changed, with him viewing the Uchiha as oppressed martyrs who were honorable for planning a coup. Bane decided to similarly revive the coup within the League of Shadows.
While on a mission, to his dismay and anger, when Bane revealed the information and his plans for revolution to his immediate comrades, they all revealed they knew, in some shape or form, about the truth behind the massacre but didn’t think the information worth much. Disgusted by his comrades’ actions, Bane lashed out at them. The argument got heated and resulted in Bane attacking them. They overpowered Bane, one of his comrades launching a wind blade into the middle of his back as he was strangling the other. They left Bane in an escapable prison in the center of the Shinobi World known as The Pit. Once inside, Bane’s fury towards Konoha and the Shinobi World reached a boiling point as he heard the stories of the ninja who were abandoned inside. After a year, Bane became friends with and the protector of a young girl named Talia al Ghul. Her story moved and angered him most; she was abandoned by her father in the Pit due to her unnoble birth. Bane helped her escape, and after several years she returned and rescued him. To her horror, she found that Bane had been disfigured in the Pit due to the seal Danzo had placed on him having a delayed and nullified effect, mangling his face. Bane donned the mask to hide his disfigurement once he left the Pit.
Bane trained with Talia’s father, becoming immensely strong. Taking root in Kumogakure for now, he is working to rebuild the League of Shadows in his own image to revolutionize the world.

Bane’s defining and prominent trait is his large stature. Standing at almost 7 feet tall, Bane hulks with muscle, uncommon among most Akimichi. This is due to the fact that Bane saw the sluggish overweight bodies as his clansmen as weakness, and decided to draw power from calories stored in muscle, rather than body fat. Due to the large amount of calories needed for the Akimichi clan techniques, Bane trained himself rigorously with weights. This took the place of his Akimichi training, as packing muscle is harder than fat. Bane has a large vertical scar running down the middle of his back, something he got from the harsh prison he was abandoned in. Bane has cold, dark eyes and no hair. On his face, he wears a metal mask that has no special traits. The mask covers his mouth, nose and the back of his head completely, but leaves his eyes and ears visible. He also wears a military grade armored vest, with a matching pair of black combat pants complete with knee pads. He also periodically dons a brown trenchcoat.

Bane is a cruel revolutionist. A terrorist through and through, Bane despises the leaders of the Shinobi World due to the corruption he perceives them to have. This was brought on by the unjust abandonment of him and many others in The Pit Prison in the center of the Shinobi World. He strives to kill the Feudal Lords and the Hokage in particular, believing Konoha spawned the evil that has ensnared the world. He believes he fights for the sake of the oppressed. This is ironic as it is in stark contrast with his fighting style of using overwhelming forces to decimate his opponents.Nickname:Bane
