I am not a poet

Okay, so we were doing oral presentations today in English and there was some shit that was discussed after somebody's presentation. Now, I have to do mine on a Macbeth. God Damn Shakespeare is stuck in my head along with that damn discussion which was bothering me so I had to write this down. I'm not a poet, I suck at poetry, 9/10 I rarely understand it so my shit will be pretty easy to understand or is horribly formatted. But be honest, since I'm an attention *****, I like to post shit and get replies good or bad so here it is.

The disembodiment of souls,

White painted black with crimson red
Satan calling thy name after sucking on the teat of sin
Spurned away from sanity

What fathom thee of these horrors?

The light of day leaving forever to the darkness of eternal night
The wine of slumber absent, one becoming sober yet still thou art intoxicated

Thou bathe in ignorance blind to what thy speak of

Blind am I?
Seen the stray from sanity
Heard of the destruction of those after such acts
Blind I am not

Blind thou are as thou hast never sipped the elixir
blind thou are as thy soul hast never left
hast not known the victimization
nor the lack of gain from such theft
Thou hast never painted on the canvas
are not in the dark
Still pressing thy lips to the glass of fermented grapes.
Thou dost not fathom of what thou speak

No, but what sweet bliss the nectar of ignorance can.

I love Shakespeare, that guy invented yo mamma jokes xd there's a fun fact.

Poetry really isn't my forte, I had the thoughts in mind but it took me an hour to actually do this. I probably could've done much better.

I welcome compliments, criticizm, interpretations of the poem, questions...all that good stuff. Anybody have anything to say about the poem itself?

I'm not really qualified to critique poetry on this level...are you sure you wrote this? :mugi: xd

Poetry has lots of interpretations at times. Some are for each line, others are for a section, and even the whole thing together. One person's interpretation is just the start when you're talking about good poetry, and everyone will see something else. Of course, that's all too "Emperor's New Clothes" for me, which is why I'm not a huge poetry fan. xd
