Neji's father still had the seal on him as an Edo and used his Byakugan quite well. So it wasn't destroyed by the seal.

I thought the seal destroys the Byakugan if the owner of the seal dies? Am I mistaken?

If so did the Hyuuga Clan use the "inorder to protect the Byakugan" slogan as an excuse to maintain their clan's tradition (of slavery).?

I am confused here

I am confused as well. Best explanation is that Kabuto altered Hizashi's body like he did Madara's. That or the Byakugan gets sealed after the user dies, but Edo Tensei revives the user as they were before they die, hence why someone like Itachi still has his eyes as a zombie.

yup that is true...

and Itachi thing is really confusing cozz when he died he was blind...he should have been blind as an edo too, unless kabuto did something, but he would probably mention it...

Well it would make sense. Never thought of that. Nagato had his Rinnegan as an Edo even tho Obito took them after his death. Could have been the same case with the seal on Hizashi's forehead as an Edo.

But I feel like the Hyuuga abused this System. It just doesn't make sense to me to destroy the Byakugan of a branch member but the main house gets to keep their eyes after death.

Edit: Edo Tensei did throw alot of logic out of the window.

It doesn't make sense for only half off them to have seals, but the branch family is supposed to protect the main family because of that, but their logic was f'd up to begin with.

And yeah, Edo Tensei did what it wanted.

Seal destroyes byakugan after hyuga's death, but edo's come back with the power they had while living, so even though destroyed he would have it same as he had it alive

[Sub]Well, of course you are. Edo Tensei revives the person close to their prime strength. If the person was blind when they were at/close to their prime, they'd be resurrected blind; the same applies for the converse.[/Sub]

You'd have to explain Hiruzen to me then.

He wasn't revived in his prime.

[Sub]Edo Tensei revives them close to their prime, not at their prime. Which is why Madara was considerably more stronger (when he was revived with Rinne Tensei) than his Edo form that was easily subdued by a formation of wooden pillars. Hiruzen too was revived close to his prime. He was pretty strong during the war when compared to what we saw from him in part 1. [/Sub]

The Curse Seal activates once you die. Edo Tensei revives you in a state before your death.
