Damn, now I've got a serious mess to clean up.

Take this from a neji fan who knows about everything the hyuuga clan has to offer, the best chance that any hyuuga has against an uchiha is only one with 3-tomoe and this is not even considereing izanagi. Pushing it up to MS makes it almost impossible to even consider victory, and there is only a slight possibility that they could win is because their rotation can counter the MS techniques and maybe outlast them. Anything higher than that is just out of their league.

The hyuugas are very powerful and have great potential, but right now, from what we have to go on, they have next to nothing on the uchihas. Maybe in the future, Kishi would decide to grant them with some sort of an upgrade, but even that is highly unlikely to occur. So until, then, dont be making troll threads like these.

Also, dont copy and paste from naruto.wiki. Its so obvious youd did it and it really brings down your credibility.

IMO the Hyuugas need a buff. They have one of the 3 legendary dojutus, so their best warriors should be better than just mid level jounin guys.

I don't think the Air palm would blast an Uchiha out of susanoo, but rotation deffinately block amaterasu! I also don't think Rotation blocks the susanoo weapon...which sucks. The hard thing to see is all the Uchiha in the Manga are on the god level of their clan. A normal Uchiha is probably at a disatvantage against a Hyuuga, but any of the god level Uchihas have an advantage. If the Byakugan can find a weak-point on the susanoo then they have a chance, otherwise there isn't much a Hyuuga could do unless they resort to element based Ninjutsu, or apply it to the air palm!

Nah I highly doubt it. The advancement from 2 tomoe to 3 tomoe alone was enough to change the Naruto vs. Sasuke battle from Sasuke not being able to land a punch into not being able to get hit at all (until Naruto got his demon cloak). The Byakugan is better overall in terms of insight but that doesn't mean that the Sharingan has no perks of its own. Plus I doubt the Uchiha were ALL about the Sharingan (even though it was a big part of them), since they still have their powerful spiritual energy (or I believe that's what it was..). Mind you, there are tricks using ninja tools that are exclusive to the Uchiha and now we just saw 2 more techniques that have UCHIHA in their name - I wouldn't doubt them being Uchiha exclusive techniques as well. A lot of the Uchiha could use Izanagi as well, as explained by Itachi before. All this combined with the fact that the Uchiha were supposed to be incredibly talented in general.. shows a lot about them. Or are we still talking about extremely powerful Uchiha like Itachi/Madara/Sasuke against named Hyuuga characters? >_>

Great post. That's the thing, Sasuke was the top of his class before he even awoke his Sharingan. They are just very good at everything. Taijutsu, ninjutsu, genjutsu, intellect, shurikens, kunai, speed, strength, hand sign weaving, etc. They have very good all around skills. Once you give them Sharingan that Kekkei Genkai puts them at the top level of Shinobi.

Byakugan allows you to see farther, see chakra flow, and see through things. But Sharingan allows you to read ninjutsu and genjutsu before they are cast, and they also allow you to anticipate movements. And once you get MS, you are able to use some of the best moves in the Naturo verse.

The same could be said for the hyuugas, though they are not the main focus of the story. Although they specialize in taijutsu, they are also great in other areas too and are known as an elite clan whose power and granduer was actually rivalling the uchihas(minus the super hax shinobi with MS)

The byakugan is also capable of reading ninjutsu before it is cast, although it hasn't been stated to read genjutsu before its cast.

The hyuuga will pose problems though. All the hyuuga have the byakugan whilst the same cannot be said about the uchiha. However lets not get ahead of ourself, the uchiha are far more powerful especially if you include the NEW strongest ever living uchiha which is Tobi.

Not in a million years, there are quite a few Uchihas who can solo the entire Hyuga clan.Examples are: Itachi,Tobi,Madara,Izuna... even Sasuke and probably Shisui as well.
