This thread made my day, Neji was such a great character. He was one of the first character that hooked me into Naruto but he was definitely the coolest and most badass one just like Sasuke in Part 1. Neji had great design, personality, abilities, and pretty much everything else about the character. Part 1 Neji was developed so well, that we've even come to appreciate more and more whenever he gets screen time especially with his fight with Kidomaru was one of the most honorable and most inspiring fight I've seen.
Neji was often praised as Genius and considered to be the strongest of the Hyuga Clan members, directly acknowledged by Hizashi Hyuga,the Third Hokage, Kakashi Hatake, and last but not least- the leader of the Hyuga Clan , Hiashi Hyuga.
What makes Neji is not just by his character but anyone that revolve him, such as his rival Lee and his team, Hinata, Naruto, Sasuke and even Gaara was impressed when he stood by watching the fight during the chunnin exam.
Neji could`ve potentially been one of the best character in this series, but sadly he was neglected almost the entirety of Shippuden only so that Uchiha get the spotlight and the worst thing is he ended up to a pairing device , which is pathetic and completely wasted his character potential after all the hype.
If Kishi explored the clan through Neji, the manga would have been more appreciated by a whole lot.
