Uchiha is a clan from which the second main character (Sasuke) and the mightiest villain (Madara) belong, which automatically throws the Hyuga down by miles. They do not boast a single member with power or relevance even close to that. How can the same clan that has the 2nd main character be even comparable to a not so relevant clan? The characters from the Hyuga aren't that relevant in comparison. Plus the fact that the most powerful Uchiha demolishes the most powerful Hyuga (even without non-Uchiha power upgrades). Power-wise, it is already superior, established fact.
