lol it was definitely much easier for Orochimaru to get a sharingan than a byakugan at that point in time because the hyuuga have a whole village, clan, and an in-clan security system to protect it from falling into other people's hands, while there were only three sharingan users in the world at that time (sasuke - the one he was looking for, itachi - tried and failed, and obito - didnt even know of his existence)

Anyone with a little plot armor can manage that.

If you want my honest opinion - Kishimoto has degraded the quality of his work with his abuse of the Sharingan. It was getting a little overpowered with just your stock abilities of the Mangekyo Sharingan. Fire that burns anything and ridiculously strong genjutsu was justified with: "oh, well, if you use it a bunch, you eventually go blind and can't use it at all."

... And we see how that got DBZed to hell and back.

Though, really, it goes a bit beyond this. Obito and Madara are not, themselves, really taking on the world. It's mostly the Ten Tails at this point ****ing everything up. Since having 7 tailed beast jinchuriki as pain-puppets wasn't good enough.

Considering that the Hyuuga are still running the same hardware since Part 1 and the Uchiha have been receiving the latest in enthusiast computer hardware... I'd say they are doing pretty damned good.

Take away the Ten Tails, the 'Pain-puppets,' and just have Obito facing off against Hiashi, and we'd probably be looking at a completely different fight.

I mean... seriously - Madara and Obito are taking on the world with the creature credited for its very creation (okay, so the next Sharingan move wasn't "Kami" ... it actually takes control of God. ... My mistake...). Of course, that means if a Hyuuga can't single-handedly bitch-slap them off of the Jyuubi... they're all just talk and inferior to the Uchiha.

Just because there are 5 or so strong Uchiha's doesn't speak for the entirety of the clan's overall strength.just those 5 individuals....look st the Senju clan!

Overall the average Hyuga beats an average Uchiha....but once the MS snd EMS goes into play, the Uchiha is above the Hyuga....though only a few Uchiha ever even get that power.

Better than a regular 3 tomoe sasuke, yes.
Maybe not thanks to the curse mark, but that would be unfair

Neji>3 tomoe sasuke without curse mark in my opinion 3 tomoe is overrated and MS too, once again even kakashi while having MS showed praise to byakugan insight and abilities which most likely covers up and is even better than 3 tomoe sharingan abilities, with the exception of the genjutsu abilities. Now MS is obviously another history
