Konoha's Hundred Leafs #50

Heading: Remaining in various places. Remnants of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

← The forehead markings and the ability to use "bones" as weapons. What is the relationship of the Kaguya Clan and Kaguya...!?

→ Praised as Konoha's strongest, the Hyūga. The ancient tradition of the Byakugan has been passed on until now.

The blood lineage of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, who ate the fruit of the God Tree. That is the root that is attached to the faint breath that spreads throughout the current Ninja world. The representative is the "Byakugan", carried by Kaguya. This is what the Hyūga Clan has been passing on until now, inheriting both the Gentle Fist and seeing all Chakra tenketsu. Also, even in Ninja from destroyed Clans, remnants of blood
can apparently be seen.

↑ Kaguya, who became the progenitor of Chakra. The power that once ruled the world is now.

Different translator:

Konoha's Hundred Leafs #50

Heading: TBA

← Those forehead marks and being a bone users, is there a connection between Kimimaro's Clan and Kaguya!?

→ The Hyūga praised as Konoha's strongest. The Byakugan traditions from 1,000 years ago are now passed down in present times.

The blood relatives of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki who ate God Tree's fruit. In the current Ninja world a faint breath from the source (root) spreads. (?This might not be right). Represented by Kaguya's Byakugan. Both the Hyūga Clan's ability to see every Chakra tenketsu and Gentle Fist, were inherited in the present time from this legend. Also, even in Ninja from destroyed clans, remnants of blood can apparently be seen.

↑ Kaguya is the progenitor of Chakra. This world dominating power reappeared in the present times.

Page 18: Movie Databook

Heading: From the progenitor of Chakra, Kaguya, to modern day Shinobi. A blood lineage spanning more than a millennium will be unraveled here.

Bloodline: A Clan divided between the Earth and the moon.

The Ōtsutsuki Clan arrived on the Earth in search of the Divine Tree's fruit. Kaguya ate the fruit and obtained Chakra, then instantly quelled the turbulent times. After her defeat, Kaguya left behind twins: younger brother Hamura led the Clan to the moon while Hagoromo remained on the Earth to try and spread the teachings of Ninshu.

↑ Hagoromo remained on the Earth while Hamura took leadership of the Ōtsutsuki and traveled to the moon.

↑ Hagoromo's sons. The dispute over which brother would inherit Ninshu gave rise to an interminable cycle of conflict.

Byakugan: The Kekkei Genkai passed down through the Hyūga Clan.

From Kaguya to Hamura, and so on. After passing through a great many generations, the Hyūga Clan became the sole inheritors of Kaguya's Byakugan. Since its founding, the Hyūga's leadership has been dedicated to preserving this Kekkei Genkai, which has allowed them to thrive.

↓ The Hyūga's Byakugan. The clan leader's Byakugan in particular has a high transplant compatibility with Hamura's descendants.

So I guess Hyuga being the descendant of Hagoromo was all mistranslated. Good! Cause that would be so stupid if that is the case. It makes much more sense for the Hyuga lineage to be inherited from Hamura.

sources please?

makes way more sense this way!!!

The Hyūga's Byakugan.

Hiashi is no more the leader, Toneri fought him because he didn't wanted to gave him Hinata and he didn't took his eyes.

Toneri tried to kidnap Hinata but ended only with her sister and he took Hanabi's eyes to start the tenseigan weapon, the problem is the process was not going really well and really unstable, so she's probably not the leader either.

so Hinata could be the leader after all the shit her family did to her :what:

i totally don't like this...

It wasn't a mistranslation through. Passing through and skipping means basically the same thing. Plus it's says that the "Hyugas are compatible with Hamura's descendants". If the Hyuuga clan are Hamura descendants why they say that? It sounds like being a Hyuuga and being a Hamura descendant are two different things.

Skipping and passing through are basically the same.

Them being related to Hagoromo was a theory not a translation. Because who else are they descendants of?

Btw where is the source?

Well it is not that bad that the Hyuuga originated from Hagoromo. It just needed more explaining.
I do think coming from Hamura makes much more sense.

yes it was a mistranslation, this is what the Hyuuga and Kimimaro seems to be imo:

The Ōtsutsuki Clan arrived on the Earth in search of the Divine Tree's fruit. (meaning Kaguya and her family/clan, her sons were not born at this moment and remember she was their princess just like Hinata is for the Hyuuga).
Kaguya ate the fruit and obtained Chakra, then instantly quelled the turbulent times.

The blood relatives of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki who ate God Tree's fruit.

so this would explain why they are compatible with Hamura and obviously Hagoromo too (they are distant cousin via their mother) and why they kept the byakugan (Hyuuga) and the bones technique (Kimimaro), both are peculiar traits from Kaguya's family/clan, she was born with it.

also remember in the movie Hamura shows to Hinata that Toneri's clan and another clan fought and used the tenseigan before, these people are probably the Hyuuga and Kimimaro ancestors and this would make a lot of sense.

Toneri and Hinata respective clans were in contact for years (surely one of the numerous secrets of the Hyuuga clan, this will also explain why their clan was separated in 2 branches, maybe some of them didn't agree with the deal they made with the Moon people neither their plan for Earth and Humanity) they were just waiting for the 1000 years period to end before destroying the planet using the tenseigan again.

the Hyuuga were supposed to gave their Moon distant cousins their heir/heiress to start the shit (because the clan leader is the most compatible), Hiashi refused to gave his daughter to him breaking their old deal.

Them being Hagomoro's descedants was not a mistranslation by TakL but a theory considering that the databook basically says that being a Hyuuga=/=being a Hamura descendant.

well, his theory make no sense and it's super stupid to mix a translation and a theory U_U

if they are not Hamura children it doesn't automatically mean they are Hagoromo, especially if all the official infos are saying that the byakugan is not inherited via him but via his brother and Kaguya.

my theory is logic, the byakugan and bones technique are dna traits passed on Kaguya's family/clan/blood relatives/siblings/whatever you want to call them so the Hyuuga and Kimimaro's clan are from here, it's a parallel branch.
