While watching the current episodes of shippuden and watching the back stories of the sage and hamura... Now going into Indra and ashura.. Maybe someone can FULLY explain the origin of the hyuga clan.
And what I mean by that is, after kaguya was defeated the sage of 6 paths stayed and watched over the earth having 2 sons which was the beginning of the senju and uchiha were as hamura went to the Moon to watch over his mother and his clan stayed on the moon. Mayb I missed something along the line of naruto the last movie but I want to know how if hamura and his clan was on the moon and him and his mother were the only ones to have the byakugan and there were no children by hamura at the time, how did the hyuga clan end up on earth?
Where is the actual start of the hyuga?
Again mayb I missed it in the movie , I don't feel like rewatching it, but then again I don't recall it being in there. So if someone would like to explain ?

Hamura had Otsutsuki children, Hyuga are the descendants of one of them. He would've left to the moon when Hagoromo decided to split the Juubi and seal away the Gedo.

Yes but what I'm saying is, when he went to the moon hamura not hagoromo had children yet. Hagoromo traveled the world for a few years before he had children and hamura didn't have kids when on earth. So that leaves me with my original assumption of how the hyuga clan got to the earth if all of hamura clan was on the moon for 1000 years

Hamura did have children, he rebuilt the Otsutsuki clan and went to the moon with them. And no one says he went to the moon instantly, if Hyuga and Kaguya clan exist it means he settled on earth for as long as Hagoromo.

See, you understand where I'm coming from, there's a few inconsistencies with how it could have possibly happened .

I get what you are saying but where you are being mislead is you are using the anime FILLER as a source for your query. In the Last it was never stated he took off directly from earth to the moon after Kaguya was sealed. You can use this as canon since Kishi stayed himself that this particular movie is canon material.

So going by the Last, Hamura probably didn't head to the moon until sometime after his brother's passing and the Gedo Mazo statue being sealed inside the moon.

This is probably the time when the Hyuga lineage began. Hamura then left to the moon to restablish the Otsutsuki line. A theory of course but not fact.

I figured as much. That's what I was thinking and the reason behind the post. I wanted to be sure that I didn't miss anything being from the movie or the filler episodes that would've actually stated the start of the hyuga clan

The anime isn't canon and fillers never follow the manga facts, you shouldn't use it as a legitimate source
