Well more like flooding it. Yata Mirror repels attacks by mirroring and then counterbalancing the attacking-jutsu. According to the DB, it is endowed with all Natures and therefore has the ability to repel all ninjutsu by mirroring and then counterbalancing them.

So here is the speculation bit: Where does the chakra for that ninjutsu (or physical force) it produces come from? It should be from the user of the Yata Mirror, unless the weapon produces its own chakra which is unprecedented.
