Obito is a stranger to Naruto who had no reason to kill his parents or inflict pain on his life.

Itachi is Sasuke's own brother and had to make a crucial decision and even if it was a bad one, Itachi still wanted to do what was best for Sasuke.

Trying to compare the two instances only makes you look desperate and childish.

Danzo was saying how sasuke was being mad at the village when he was throwing away what Itachi sacrificed for. (So yeah a hypocrite) Sasuke at that time didn't realize that Itachi was acting with the village's best interest at heart. Obito made it seem like Itachi was strong armed into doing what he did by the village by using his memories of war and his little brother as leverage. It was only later that Sasuke learned that Itachi valued the village and why.

then you don't understand the theme of the manga. It's about stopping the curse of hatred, not continuing it. If naruto never forgave obito he would forsake the theme of the manga of bringing peace to the world

And how has that theme worked out over the years? Ashura? Hashirama? And now Naruto?
The theme of the manga is to get rid of hatred, correct? Now, If you stop to think and read how stupid that sentence sounds than maybe you would have much better sense on the fact that hatred will always exist in the world. You can't just get rid of it. In this manga and in the world itself. If that was the case then the next generation will not have a darkness to oppose and it will just be a boring life of sitting around a drinking tea while playing shogi. There can never be true peace. This isn't a damn Disney movie where everything goes your way and you end up being saved by a knight and shining armor. There will always be darkness and light to oppose each other.
And it's only fitting that someone who has experienced hatred should be the one to do it, since all the good hearted pricks have failed and there still exist evil and hatred. But since this manga is wrapped around Naruto's balls then it seems that Kishi has to make him do it, and since this is a Shounen, Naruto will succeed but there will still be hatred no matter how hard you try to fight for it.

It's about stopping the curse of hatred, not continuing it.

it's not me writing the manga, but kishi. That's how he wants the manga to go. It's not related to real life, but that's this manga's theme. Hatred will stop by naruto's actions, no matter how unreal they would seem in real life

again this is fiction. Naruto's character is the all forgiving boy who will eventually find peace. He by forgiving obito, who did more damage to naruto than anyone else, will overcome hatred, and find peace.

Sasuke fans dont want to give a shit about theme of this manga because they hate the main character in the first place, their d riding is what making them blind. They dont give a shit about what author is trying imply. That's why they bash narutos character itself Lol. Poor souls what can they do tho? They accept what sasuke did is correct while ignoring the fact that he was manipulated all the way throughout the series. They can't understand that only weak minded people get manipulated easily. Naruto stuck true to his path and ninja way. He decided to change the world by bringing peace. He's matured enough to forgive someone like obito despite the fact that he was the reason behind every painful moment naruto went through. This is something only a god would do. I could write an essay as to why naruto is better than sasuke but i know it wouldn't change their opinion in the end.
