Hype vs Feats: How strong the Yata Mirror really is?

Note: This thread will be made to look for an unbiased and (hopefully) final setlement for this infamous tool.
I will starting off this with what I hope can be considered common ground:
The Yata is at least as strong as a v4 Susanoo (if it isn't what would be the point of even having a shield weaker than the construct itself?)
The Mirror tanked: The heads of Orochimaru's Yata noJutsu, a string of paper bombs and Sasuke's katana
The Mirror did not tanked: Demonic flute (it could be argued that Itachi did not have the time to activate it)
Now on the arguments (I will be editing this part with your inputs)

Arguments in favor of Yata's invincibility:

At the very worst what the mirror and final susanoo can collectively allow itachi to survive is an attack with as much destructive force as kirin. They didn't completely block it as itachi was on the ground with his cloak off but he survived.

The mirror itself was introduced to explain away itachi escaping kirin.

However several jutsus which work differently than just pure destructive force woud till get itachi like, the gravitational pull of chibaku tensei, space time jutsu, sound genjutsu, attacks directly below his foot etc etc. And of course attacks with more power than kirin

No, it's Jinin Akebino's. Ameyuri Ringo's swords are the Kiba. Not that it matters much.

Anyways, Raikiri pierces Yata since the databook says that it can pierce through anything.

This should tell you how valid the arguments for Yata's potential are.

In no way shape or form do we have any semblance of proof that it can tank attacks like Bijuudama or even Jinton.

I really don't care about what Black Zetsu said. In debates, feats hold more water than hype; hype is only meant to be a supporting detail to an argument at best. When hype becomes the main point of an argument without feats... Then the argument has failed.
