I plan on starting this series and I was just wondering how is the pacing for the episodes? I normally watch the anime first before getting into the manga so I would like some answers. Also, what's good about the series? A simple overview of the plot would be nice! Thanks.

Oh dawg. I'm glad.

The main overarching plot is that the main protagonist, Gon Freeks, was told his whole life that both his parents died when he was very young. This all changed when a man named Kaito arrived on Gon's island looking for Gon's father. He saved Gon from being attacked by a creature and revealed to Gon that his father was never dead, and is actually a world class hunter. Gon decides to become a hunter and find his father.

(Hunter: a licensed profession for those who specialize in fantastic pursuits such as locating rare or unidentified animal species, treasure hunting, surveying unexplored enclaves, or hunting down lawless individuals.)

HxH is really nice. The anime is still ongoing and is ending in a few month since the manga was on hiatus (coming back soon!) Both characters progress at quick rates and both have pretty baller personalities. Plot is mostly about Gon, who becomes a 'hunter' to search for his dad. He meets Kilua along the way, who leaves his 'old ways' to take on a new, fun life with Gon. Then shit goes down and through experience they progress their skills.

One thing I particularly like is the power-scaling/progression.

The anime is pretty good. If you like Naruto, you'd probably like HxH and vice-versa.

Lol Kishi actually did rip off of HxH. O_O Pathetic. Cool story-line though, thanks!

HxH is the second best story out there (Yu Yu Hakusho is #1 for me). Togashi is a genius when it comes to writing well-balanced and well-developed characters, whether protagonist or antagonist.

Anyways, the story is about a kid, Gon, who wants to become a Hunter like his dad. As a Hunter, Gon wants to find his Hunter dad. The story is hardly about that, though. It's more about the relationship between Gon, a friend he meets (Killua), and somewhat Kurapika and Leorio. Just watch it. There's too much to explain.

Also, if you like Naruto, you'll absolutely love HxH, mainly because Kishi took many of the ideas/characters from HxH. However, Togashi knows how to write a good story with amazing characters , as opposed to Kishi.

Awesome. I'll see if I have time later tonight to start watching the anime but for sure I will start during the weekend since I'm done with all my exams. Thanks for the response.

Sure thing. I guarantee that you will get hooked pretty quickly. It's pretty quick with its pacing, too, so it's not monotonous like say, One Piece or Naruto.
