Does anyone know what happened to hunter X hunter manga? I googled a lot but couldn't find any news. It shows news from AUG 2014.

It's a shame that this is the most accurate answer.Check it back in three years or so. If you are lucky you will have another 9 chapters to read. >_>
In the mean while pick some other series to have fun.
OT: This is why I try to wait as long before starting a series as possible. Works that are completed are much more enjoyable to read.
If you're new to the series this might be new, but togashi goes on hiatuses occasionally/semi often where the manga is basically put on hold for x amount of time, which could be weeks, months, or even years. Years ago hunter x hunter was going but togashi went on his hiatus and the manga slowed down to a halt. Then he restarted the manga (I believe in 2011 or so with the anime), and now he has taken another hiatus. There is really no news on when hunter x hunter or hiatus x hiatus will return. Better to pick a god and pray Lol
So much cynicism in this thread, people here are spoilt by mangakas giving everything to their crowds. XD They don't know the pain of fans of manga like Berserk, Bastard or HxH. =D
But the true answer is only Togashi knows he'll make it when he wishes to/ when he feels well, it's worth the wait in the meantime go pick up a few other ones.

Thanks for your reply everyone. I guess, I'll have to wait for an year or so, since there isn't any official announcement about when it will be resumed.
