Hunter x hunter or naruto ?!

Hahahahahaha,yeah it deos.Having breaks means more time to plan out the story,rest etc.I shouldn't have to explain this,it's so obvoius,and i could go into way more detail of how breaks are very helpful and play a big role into creating manga.

Masashi has been making Naruto for 15 years,without taking many breaks,other than the regular holiday breaks or a week or two off if he's sick.

HxH started before Naruto did yet has hundreds of less chapters than Naruto.In total Togashi has had years or breaks.

Here's an example,what if HxH ends with 1000 chapters (just an example) - and Togashi had no haitus like Masashi then HxH would have about 750 chapters right now.

Him having no year long breaks and dishing out chapters weekly would have a considerable change on the story.


Even now that he's somewhat back he's still getting more breaks than everyone.3-4 chapters,break,then another 3-4 chapters and break.

Now this upcoming week WSJ will be on break so Togashi gets another break.So 2 chapters in a month in a weekly Magazine that his story just got back into a few weeks ago after being on haitus for 2 years and 3 months.lol

HxH - Haitus 2 years and 3 months - gets back has 2. haitus's within 10 chapters. lol.

You didn't get what I meant , what I mean is that it doesn't matter if the writer is having breaks as long as he is introducing good stuff,the breaks doesn't add to the manga when comparing(can't say acertain manga is better bc of breaks) , and also I 'm comparing the mangas not the breaks of each one , if hxh writer did like Kishi it would be different

Well the art is improving now (better than Naruto's atm) but yeah Naruto did have better art before.

It's cause of the amount of content we get in one chapter. A regular naruto chapter takes around 1-2 minutes to read but a HxH chapter takes a lot longer to read (close to 10 mins. and sometimes more). People like dialogue heavy chapters cause of the content/exposition we get from each chapter. I swear one HxH chapter is equivalent to the amount of dialogue Naruto chapters have for a month.


Are you serious...? LOL. Togashi's current drawings are much better than Kishi's. Kishi's drawings aren't even that great, it's not as detailed and he reuses character designs. Sure, I'd agree Togashi's drawings before chapter 341 were inferior to kishi's but as of right now his drawings are improving. Don't even get me started on other mangaka's out there that have far superior drawings than kishi.

The villains in Naruto are either pedophiles or emo Uchihas. Yawn. With the exception of the Akatsuki. The only fights that are strategy in Naruto are Shikimaru fights. The rest are DBZ type fights. Nobody talks about the power of friendship in HxH. Plus unlike Naruto, HxH will end before it sucks

You mean HxH will go on Haitus long enough for it to never suck.

Naruto has always had strategy throughout the whole story including the War.Before the War is obvoius (yet you only said Shikamaru fights had them which is false,) so for now i will only talk about the War.I will give examples of before the War if you want though.

Kakashi and the Fourth Division Vs the Sevenswordsmen - Kakashi came up with a strategy that incorporated the Nara clan,himself and a Yamanaka Shinobi so he could take out Zabuza who was using the Mist Technique to take away their vision.

Naruto and The Fourth Division vs The Third Raikage - Naruto thought about and figured out the Third Raikage's weakness and came up with a strategy to beat him and successfully did it.He deduced that the scar Raikage got was from his battle with the Hachibi and that if he would hit him there he would be able to stop him long enough for the others to seal him,so Naruto went into Sage Mode which allowed him to predict the Raikage's movements enough to be able to dodge his lighting fast attacks an a instant and land his attack.That's one of my Favorite chapters.Naruto showed his intelligence and power. There was more strategy than that in that battle but you shoukd read it for youself since you clearly forgot.i don't want to spoil everything,but Naruto and Kabuto had a plans.


Naruto,Gaara,and the Fourth Division Vs Madara - chapter 560 - Gaara attacked Madara whilr Naruto charged up his Sage Mode then when hr was ready,Gaara threw Madara out of his Susano'o and Madara launched a RasenShuriken at him.Anothet one of my fav chapters.

Kakashi,Naruto,Gai KB Vs Tobi - Kakashi analyzed and figured out Kamui.He came up with Strategies to land hits on Tobi which lead to Naruto giving a Rasengan to Tobi's face in his own dimension - on his turf. Badass.Another one of my fav chapters.And how did Naruto get into that Dimension? Kakashi,the genuis's strategy outsmarting Tobi.

The Shinobi Alliance vs Madara,Obito and Ten Tails - chapter 612,the whole chapter was based on the strategy that Shikaku had come up for the alliance using all of them.

I could list more but i'll stop here. Anyone saying Naruto hasn't had any strategies since the War is false,the same for Teamwork,as i just proved.

And isn't Hisoka a Pedo? in the Greed Island Arc when he was walking behind Gon and Killua he was looking at their butts.

Also to say Naruto is on DBZ level is false.Goku Vegeta were able to blow up a planet in the Saiyan Saga.........

Naruto isn't anywhere near that.

For all those discrediting Hunter x Hunter for breaks there is a reason for why Shonen jump allows Togashi to take them, he single handedly saved WSJ in the early 90's all the great series like Slam Dunk had ended and Yu Yu hakusho single handedly kept their sales alive in that period as One piece hadn't started till then
Also due to the immense pressure put on Togashi he got arrhythmia and several stress related disorders, moreover hxh remained a top seller even during its hiatus, Thats why Shueisha trusts him.


Both Naruto and HXH are great but I prefer Hunter x Hunter because of its plot and immense character development, the characters even the minor ones are well written and are memorable.
Moreover the villains in naruto are Grey and are bad because of their circumstances while Togashi puts no embargo on his villians be it the bomber( genthru) or Merum and his Royal guards they were evil

The HXH manga has many deeper undertones to it For example, Meruems name means "the light that shines on everything" but the person who he loved most was a blind girl and many more.

The HXH plot too is much deeper written than naruto and much darker
For me HxH is better, no discredit to naruto

Masashi has been working on Naruto for 15 years straight,him making simple drawing mistakes isn't a big deal and are corrected with the volumes.Besides his assistant,and editor should notice these mistakes and not let it be publsihed in WSJ without being corrected.

If we,the readers didn't notice most or all of those mistakes when we first read them why should the author notice every little thing in detail.

We read online for free,and didn't notice whereas he has been working on ot for 15 years straight and didn't notice.

A few mistakes? There's a lot more drawings mistakes in Naruto's manga than in the HxH's manga. And people really love to call Togashi lazy, people don't even know the health problems he's had. You're being delusional to the large amount of drawing mistakes Kishi. has with Naruto. I'm saying Togashi's current drawings are better, but I do agree (and hopefully everyone here) that Naruto's drawings were better than HxH's before. (but not now)

A few mistakes? There's a lot more drawings mistakes in Naruto's manga than in the HxH's manga. And people really love to call Togashi lazy, people don't even know the health problems he's had. That was only for the first hiatus....no reasons were mentioned for the next hiatus......although rumors said that it was either because his wife had a baby OR because he could get away with it (since his sales were not affected by much)!!

where is that somewhere ? if Togashi were willing to hire an assistant then the hiatus will never happen,
last time togashi had an assistant is in early days of HXH serialization and even that was his wife.
