Humid bone forest and the queen WIP sketch

So yeah, I have once before drawn the slug land with and unknown name then. (In 2009) And I decided to draw it again.
This is the current sketching I have done. I'm seriously up for suggestions to the background since I really suck in making them.
I think an acid lake would be good or something? xD Suggestions please.

I will post the finished one AND the old one when I'm done. Could probably take some time if I want to make this even remotely fine looking.

Also I had to make it A LOT smaller with paint since the original file is huge. Thus the pixels.

Yeah, that much I figured, that it need more bones and stuff. Are there actual trees at all in shikkotsurin or is it more like a wasteland?
