Ok, so, like I said in your VM's, Rei gave me permission to teach you the Nara clan Shadow KG since there are currently no Sensei's to teach it. I just wanted to repeat it in this thread in case its checked and someone thinks it's invalid to prove that its fine.^^
So shall we get started?
First tell me everything you know about shadows and the Nara clan shadow KG.
Well, you're partial right. Those special chakra blades can absorb any chakra nature. Not just Shadow chakra.
Also, Shadow jutsu can infact be used at night. Just not in complete darkness. As stated in the anime, there can be "shadows within shadows" and skilled members of the Nara clan can manipulate them. As long as there is moonlight, or even stars in the sky, your shadow jutsu should be able to function. There only needs to be a flicker of light for there to be a shadow.^^
A few of the basics you need to know are these.
1) In broad daylight your shadow jutsu can only move as fast as you can run. Though you can make it go slower for tactical purposes if you wish.
2) Light is a Shadow jutsu users best friend, and worst enemy. You can use light to your advantage, but your opponent can also use it against you. This is mostly talking with fire-style jutsu in mind.
When a Nara shadow jutsu is incomplete and a large source of light comes into play between the user and target, the advance of the shadow is slowed (B rank fire), halted (A rank Fire), or pushed back to user (S rank and Forbidden Fire).
Now, that being said. You can also use this to your advantage. Through the use of flash bombs for example. If you throw a flash bomb behind you, it will extend your shadow in front of you, making it slightly faster, as well as longer.
So before we start the jutsu I want you to try that and see what I mean. Throw a flash bomb over your shoulder w/o looking back then do this hand sign
Yes. But there is another reason. The secret lies in throwing the flash bomb behind you. This makes your shadow extend in whichever way you're facing, which is most often towards your enemy.
Had you thrown it infront of you, your shadow would've extended behind you, meaning you'd have to work even harder to get it back infront of you and go towards your opponent.
Now that you understand the basics, we'll ge to the jutsu. I had you do the sign of the rat because that's the only hand sign necessary for the first jutsu I'll be teaching you. The Shadow Possession jutsu (Or Shadow Imitation jutsu according to NB. Same jutsu, different name xd)
(Kage Mane) - Shadow Imitation
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: Traps the enemy buy combining shadows.
To use this jutsu you extend your shadow towards your opponent until it connects with their shadow. Once your shadows are connected you have complete control over your opponent. They will imitate any actions you preform as long as your shadows are connected.
Now, it's important to note that these shadow jutsu take alot of chakra to maintain. So once you have your opponent trapped you have to execute your following moves quickly and really think them through.
For example, since your two bodies would be linked, whatever your opponents body does, yours will too. So if you have an opponent trapped with this jutsu and someone else breaks thier arm, your arm would get broken as well. Meaning that if you know others are around, you need to make sure you're aware of their actions. The one you have trapped will be completely in your mercy, but others may not be so forgiving towards you or even thier own comrades.
With that in mind I want you to try and trap me using this jutsu.
Focus your chakra into your shadow and make it extend towards me.
okay adds a lot of chakra 2 my shadow then make it go forward towards u. but u jump side ways so i throw a kunai and u jump 4m it but after ithe kunai leaves my hand i get ready 2 use the jutsu again . i let my shadow towards u and it connects. then i put my hands on my side like superman and then put my right leg forward and u do the same

Hmm, not bad for your first attempt, but at that strength you'd only be able to hold someone of about Chuunin rank. You need to focus more chakra into your shadow to make the connection stronger. This is why it takes soo much chakra to maintain. The stronger your opponent, the more chakra you need to put into the jutsu. (As shown by the fight where Shikamaru faces Tayuya. When she had her curse mark activated it was difficult to keep her trapped)
*Your shadow captures me and I'm forced to do whatever you do*
Good.
*You release the jutsu*
Now that you can successfully preform that one, we move on to the next.
The Shadow Possession Shuriken Jutsu.
(Kage Mane Shuriken) - Shadow Imitation Shuriken
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: Traps the enemy buy throwing and hitting there shadow special blades infused with shadow chakra.
The effects of this jutsu are similar to those of the previous one. When successfully preformed this will trap the opponent. However, since your two shadows will not be connected, you will not be able to control your opponents actions. They will simply not be able to move.
This has the advantage of you or anyone else being able to do anything to your opponent with not side-effects on you.
Now that you understand what it does I'll explain how its preformed. I assume you have some special chakra blades? Maybe a kunai able to absorb charka natures?
If not then I have one you can use.
*I throw you my katana, which is made of this special metal*
All you need to do in order to preform this jutsu is focus your shadow chakra into the chakra blade, and then connect the blade to your opponents shadow. If used with a small object like a kunai, you can throw it. As long as it hits the opponents shadow, they will be trapped. So make sure you work on your accuracy with projectiles.
However, with larger objects that are easily seen coming, like my katana I'm letting you use, it may be better to get in close and slash at the opponent a bit to distract them. Then charge your chakra into it and simply stab it into the opponents shadow when you get an opening.
If you understand, go ahead and give it a try.
*I back up a few feet and get into a fighting stance*
well yea i got sum kunais that has a chakra blades on them. i run at u with a kunai n each hand. i slash at u with 1 then the other has shadow chakra n it then i throw it at ur shadow at the same time i slash at u

*I block your kunai your slashing at me with by grabbing your wrist, and I deflect the one you threw away from my shadow by slashing at it with my hand claw.*
Not bad, but you'll have to be a bit more sneaky about it for this one to work. The tactic you just used might work on someone else that doesn't know your a shadow user, but since I do, I'll be expecting it. Try using a flash bomb or smoke bomb to blind your opponent first. Then they'll be soo focused on protecting themselves that they wont give it a second thought if your kunai "misses them" and hits the ground near them.
does the same thing but i slash at u alot of times and one of the kunais has 2 times the shadow chakra this time and when u block it i let it go 2 hit ur shadow

Ah, good. Dropping your weapon after your opponent has blocked it might make them think it was something they did. While it was really part of your plan all along. Good tactic.
*You pick the kunai back up, releasing me*
Now that you've learned the two D-rank Shadow jutsus I'll give you one more tip. This is one of the most effective ways to use the shadow possession jutsu if you like using taijutsu as I do. If you get close enough to punch or kick your opponent and you do the shadow possession jutsu during or right after a punch or kick, they are instantly trapped.
For example, if I were to kick you while doing the sign of the rat and the Shadow possession jutsu, you'd be trapped by it since the moment my leg connects with you, our shadows would also be connected.
Now, thats all I'm going to teach you right now. I'll teach you more on Friday, but tomorrow I want you to do at least one battle and use at least one of those shadow jutsu in combination with your normal moves. Then VM or PM me the link to the battle and I'll review it before teaching you more.
But like I said, I still want to see a battle out of you in which you use these jutsu.
Next up is the Shadow Neck Bind jutsu
(Kage Kubi Shibari) - Shadow Neck Bind
Rank: C
Type:Supplementary/Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: Traps the enemy buy combining shadows and then strangles the enemy with a shadow hand.
For this jutsu you must first capture the opponent with the Kage Mane jutsu. You then use shape manipulation to make your shadow into the form of a hand, which slowly wraps around your enemy from the bottom up until it reaches their throat. Then you make your shadow constrict the target and suffocate them.
