I'd be bummed out, but then when has Naruto ever stayed within the standardized parameters of power? Sasuke and Naruto magically skipped from Kage to demi-gods before our eyes, and they just had to be on the verge of death, that was their only requirement, alongside them housing Indra and Asura's souls. If that's all it took for them, and considering Boruto got the seal in a very weak fashion, with no effort in thinking or what-so-ever, just needing to be the third person available with amateur Rasengan-skill, then Denki reaching Kaguya level strong by some miraculous power bestowal isn't such a far-fetched case. It's been done so many times now that we've practically been conditioned to this kind of contrivance.

I agree with both of you, that's a major dislike of mine about the manga random overpowered rear side pulls.

OT: in the age of tech Denki becoming exceptionally strong wouldn't surprise me as much. My objection is a show about ninja should remain ninjaish not move towards chakra avatars, rear sided seal pulls etc.

Now being seriously, the only way I see Denki as a "strong ninja" is him using his technological knowledge alongside of Sumire, this way he may be a good support character and not a disaster. Also, there are many theories that implies he's Kawaki, I don't think so but who knows.
