How would you rank Naruto's Generation?

still don't agree.sasuke simply has the physical ability to utilise his intelligence while shikamaru has average ability.if they had the same power level shikamaru's intelligence would allow him to shit on sasuke 10 times out of 10

I see where you are coming from. But it still stands that as shown, Shikamaru has less to work with, and needs things laid out to formulate plans, like a game of Chess. He also takes long to think. Sasuke has always had more ability to work with and choice of plan, and he thinks in the year of battle.

So if Shikamaru and Sasuke both sit down to find a solution, I would rather Shikamaru make the plan, and Sasuke execute it. It still stands that Sasuke knows more.

fair point.sasuke does show phenomenal battle analysis ability..but also shikamaru's fight with temari and tayuya showed he also can think off his feet and formulate effective counters
