[Discussion] How would you have worked Hinata, Neji and the Hyuuga into part 2's story?

Many believe the K11 were not given the same justice in part 2 as they were in part 1. Neji and Hinata being prime examples. The series seemed to focus more on developing Naruto and Sasuke and making most of the K11 near full time supporting characters. Since Hinata has always had a thing for Naruto, Neji was once his nemesis who became his friend and compared to Sasuke a bit and the Hyuuga turned out to be one of the oldest clans after all that bear Kaguya's eyes, if you had been in charge of the story, would you have worked these characters in more or not? If so, how would you have done it?

I would have gave Neji Kaguyas Byakugan.

Cuz that would just take away from the plot, The series isn't random stories from other characters point of view, every thing thats ever put on paper relates to Naruto it all connects to him. The first major antagonist "Orochimaru" was revealed to be a part of a group of those with power equal to his or stronger. Another connects to sasuke "His brother" And their group is after Naruto and his Nine tailed fox. Thats all that matters.

Turns out theirs others like naruto "Gaara" and the other Jinchuriki so they had reason to not go after naruto now so we can focus on whats going on around his character, cuz this manga is called "Naruto" Not "Naruto and The Konoha 11"

Hunter x hunter forgot the existence of everyone besides Gon and Killua, DB and DBZ doesnt revolve around Krillin, yamcha, and tien. Death note isn't from Matsudas point of view.

Kishi uses characters who are relevant to the current situation. We already know about the hyuugas theres never been a secret nor did the Main antagonist have anything to do with the Hyuugas. They are after Jinchuriki not kekkai genkai.

An Uchiha is a member of it thus they get more focus, also the rival of the main character is one. Nobody complains about HxH, FMA, DB, DBZ, Death note, Code Geass, and every other ****ing story in the universe. Nobody begs for a panel of yamcha, But we have people complaining about Konoha 11 not getting screen time. Fans ruin naruto for themselves.

I would have kept Hinata as the fodder she is, and utilized Neji a lot more, actually demonstrating his Jonin-class skills. Then, later on in the manga, I would have hyped his Byakugan prowess by saying something like, "The only Hyuga who has come close to Kaguya's mastery of the Byakugan is Neji."

I would have utilized Hanabi as well, portraying her as a more competent fighter than Hinata by a mile.

My answer: Not.

Why? Because part 2 clearly projected the life of someone who was seeking for peace at global scale while others were seeking what was most convenient for their own village (K11). This started from the moment where Naruto was compared to the fourth in the FRS creation and training (and Jirayia's death).

The one who choose the different path had to be someone which powers evolved in a different rate. These two were Sasuke and Naruto.

What good would be Hinata or Neji having a tremendous power up in the end of the series? These two were only ladders for the main characters to climb further, that's all they deserved from the moment they had their personalities and targets defined.

By not killing Neji for sure, he's just that one fitting piece into the K11.
Maybe they should have killed Shikamaru instead but he's a major asset to Naruto so I think Kiba would have been a better replacement.

From my point of view, it wouldn't take away from the plot and no, that's all that matters to you, not I.

This isn't Hunterxhunter, DB, DBZ OR Death Note, this is Naruto. A different series in a different universe by a different mangaka.

No, we didn't. Kakashi foreshadowed they the sharingan may have originated from them and we just found out that it originated from Kaguya, whom also possessed the sharingan. We didn't know if there was a second level to the byakugan like the sharingan, Orochimaru or someone else could have coveted it while others were actually shown to, such as the cloud and the mist who succeeded in taking it. And it was strong enough to see through Obito and even Shisui's genjutsus. Sasori also coveted other shinobis' powers and turned them into puppets with their chakra natures preserved for he to use. Team Asuma were given a whole arc for their development, I don't see how Neji, Hinata and other K11 characters couldn't have.

I am not the one complaining, you are. I am simply asking how people would have worked the hyuuga's into the story more. Nothing more, nothing less. I didn't force you to read my thread or to respond. If you have a problem with it, you can ignore it and leave, simple as that.

If not the main, at least an IMPORTANT side-character, not just some pebble obstacle on Naruto's stomp towards power-proof and development.

I would exchange Sakura for Neji. It would be a TOTAL >SHONEN< manga move LOL

He would be like... The most mature character in their team that would TOTALLY serve as exemplary shinobi and would keep them in line. He got a balanced personality and finds a right place between extreme emo and extreme cheerful-maniac

Neji had simply enormous potential as character for indepth development, and his fighting style is most unique, elegant, and impressive in the whole lore. Even if it does not have an 8 gate hax, roflstomp potential.

What good would these characters do throughout the series if they had more power? Power gives capability, and capability also means responsability, more importance to plot.

I think it would have been useless.
