I wouldn't be worried. She is ok, but not very important for the plot.

title says it all, what if Sakura didnt save Karin? All we can say Karin has done thus far since getting stabbed was destroy the statue, which was epic. But I think it would make Sasuke's character darker if he fully killed her. I only will be happy she lived if she ends up with Sasuke and they have OP Uchiha Uzumaki babies, or it is at least inferred since we wont get that far in the series.

If Sasuke had killed her, it probably would have ruined any hope of redeeming him as a protagonist. Kishimoto clearly didn't want it that way, or at least not in that sadistic, evil and unhinged manner. If she had died, yes the series would probably have shifted quite radically from what it is now. Sasuke probably could have killed Obito, taken the Rinnegan for himself, read the Ichiha tablet and become the final antagonist in Madara's place.
